My passion is needle and wet felting.I also like making cards but usually too busy felting. Love all colours of wool especially greens and earthy colours.I am not a big fan of merino wool,Ok for wet felt but I find it really hard to needle felt well. I am trying out some other wools such as corriedale and falkland , love these so if you know of anything else I could try...... A lot of my felted work is influenced by the fabulous countryside we have around us - I love the trees, lakes and clear blue skies on cold winter days. I can't knit and don't sew very well at all!I have done a lot of cross stitch in the past and hope to get back to it one day soon.
Star Wars, Harry Potter films, Anything with George Clooney or Harrison Ford in it!
I am a 'retired' Physiotherapist, originally from England, now living in Finland with my husband and 2 small children.
Our life has been turned upside down recently with my 4 year old son being diagnosed with diabetes. So now we regroup and are doing well at getting back to normal(if that exists!!)
I am a stay at home mum just about to embark on a new career. I plan to work from home making and selling my handmade felted arts and crafts. Exciting (and scary)!!! I have some of my work on my flickr page so take a peek! My business is now official - FeltFinland - check out my website!
I love the outdoor life and am into orienteering, cooking and collecting bizarre/ unusual kitchen utensils. I enjoy coffee and chocolate. I miss marmite and salt and vinegar crisps!
Psychological thrillers, Murder mysteries - enjoy Lisa Gardner, Tess Gerritsen,Kathy Reichs,Karin Slaughter Linda Fairstein etc
I've just finished Matthew Reilly's latest - the six sacred stones, what a read!
I like......
-Paper(especially plain card)
-picture postcards(not places)
-English chocolate, crunchies and maltesers are the latest craving(!)
-coffee
-baking
-weird kitchen gadgets!
-felting wool(any colour)
-Lego
-Star Wars
-Christmas
-snow
-nature - leaves, mushrooms, animal tracks, bugs, trees, all great inspiration for my felting.
Even though I don't knit I can use 100% wool yarn(non washable) in my felting.
Also I am always on the look out for those small left over balls of yarn that are too small to knit anything with.
I would love some US ziploc bags, especially the large gallon sized ones. They are perfect for keeping my wool under control!
I am also on the hunt for some Clover felting needles, both sizes but especially the heavy weight ones(orange box)or foster needles 36 or 38 gauge.
Thanks
I don't like(much)....... make up, perfume, smelly stuff(no pot pourri please!),peanut butter, mint choc chip ice cream, sewing, knitting, jewellry, Japanese stuff, fluffy things, have short hair so hair ties etc not much good( my daughter won't object though!) Thanks
CSI, ER, House, NCIS - love medical dramas and detective/forensic stuff.
Almost any Sport - love catching the English Football when I can!

Hi Amanda. You little gnome has finally been posted so hopefully he'll be arriving in Finland very soon. Thanks for being so patient with me. x
Thank you so much for the little things for our Christmas tree! And for thinking of all of us. Dustin loves the fabric so I expect it will become a couple of cushions for their room. I have some orange vintage chenille which I think will go really well with it. I put your blog on my favourites list so we can keep in touch! :)
Thank you so much for the felted bumblebee! It is so cute!
I wanted to let you know we have three new swaps in the British Birds group - I Wish For #3, I Wish For My Partner, and 7 Days Of Small Surprises.
