I'm in the middle of separating from my husband. My swaps will get sent (all of them) but they will be late. I'm sorry if I've inconvienced anyone - I just haven't been in the mood to create the past few weeks. Thank you for your patience.*

I'm 26, happily married to another artist. I'm a graphic designer (both professionally and freelance at night) and I say I'm an artist (though at times I wonder). I read everything I can get a hold of...I want to learn another language (I've started a few but can never get past the intoductory level). I've recently started listening to Learn German CDs - keep your fingers crossed! I want to travel the world. I love photography and good graphic design. I could be described as hippie-chic. I enjoy all sorts of things like art, history, art history, cacti, electronics, crafting, metal detecting, hiking, gardening, and my new love - GeoCaching. I have an unhealthy love of dirty pirates named Jack Sparrow :) I can't help it...maybe its the eye liner.
I enjoy all colors (though I prefer to stay away from pastels)...they fasinate me...however, I love the color green...all shades...and Kermit the Frog...he's my hero! I love fabulously unusual things...my house is full of "weird" things we have picked up. We've (my husband and I) have started collected newspapers from different places around the world...its just neat to look at the news in other places...I have a sharpie addiction...and a packaging addition - wrappers, jars, boxes - I think its the graphic designer in me coming out.
I absolutely love Cadbury Crunchie bars and Smarties (the UK version...cholocate with hard shells that are fruit flavored), and Kinder chocolates...and anything with hazelnut and chocolate.
I'm on a hunt for some "Cactus Candies" - if you can get them - please let me know and we can do a private swap and I'll love you forever!!
I would love an "Evil Eye" - you know, they're normally dark blue glass with white and black glass on top to resemble an eye.
As far as my design and personal aesthetic, I really like Nantaka Joy. Mainly the way it looks, though I really wouldn't mind receiving any of their stuff. I'm not very "girly" nor do I get into country-themed things. I normally don't like a lot of kawaii - but the tofu w/faces, little Russian dolls, black & white pigs, and the skulls are really awesome!
If it ever matters - please no things with a strong cinnimon scent (a little is ok) it gives me a horrible headache.
Cindy Sherman, Van Gogh, some Klimt, Sargent, Man Ray, Julie West, and Dorothea Lange
I love historical fiction, and history books that talk about the most random specialized topics (I just finished a book about the Cathars in Southern France during the 16th century). I love "Devil in the White City" by Erik Larson and the twisted fairytales of Gregory McGuire. I also enjoy books about philosophy and religion...Hindu is the next religion I want to learn about.
Just about anything, except pop and pop-country, and bad rap...Beatles, Johnny Cash, Blackalicious, That Hansome Devil, Nora Jones, Etta James, Frank Sinatra, Tenacious D, Beastie Boys, Fiest, Beck, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Jopin, the Who, Cake, Nina Simone, David Bowie, the Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs, Bjork, and a little (very small amount) Lynard Skynard (I live in AL - they raise you like it down here :))...
There are so many movies that I love...The Adventures of Baron von Munchousen (sp?), History of the World Part I, Time Bandits, Lock,Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, Edward Scissorhands, Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Ed Wood (just about any film with Mr.Depp in it :P), Kill Bill Parts 1 &2, Run Lola,Run, Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny, and anything thing that the Cohen brothers have done!
Cacti (obviously - but not "western" themed), the color green, Halloween (not too gory not too cheesy), Photography, Art, Vinyl toys, handmade things, eco-friendly things, diy things, sewing, knitting, embroidery, handmade notebooks (especially blank ones), re-used items, cool fabric, gnomes, German Shepherd dogs (especially black and sliver ones), vintage items, owls, elephants
Country themed items, Western themed items, most kawaii (though I can always re-gift it), Religious propoganda/items, People who don't say thank you (HUGE pet peeve), useless items, Cheap plastic things (unless they're really cool), "girly" things
