About Me

I have been a quilter for 20 years and a crazy one since 2005. I love stitching by hand and use almost all my leisure time to it. I have been married to Tuomo since 1975 and we have three grown kids and two grandchildren, Leia (2006) and Levi (2008). We used to live on Japan in 1987-1991 and that is where I learned to quilt.

I like

all hand-made fabric things, stitched, embroireded, knitted, tatted, crocheted, painted, stamped, dyed... My favourite colors are purple, green, matt red, cream. I love to walk and hike in the nature. I try to draw something every day in 2009.

I also

do a lot of sports: gym, running, swimming, skiing... This far eight marathons. I walked 270 km on the Camino de Compostela in Spain in May 2009.

I am not a great fan

of plastic things and glue put together with fabric.

Response: I was a bit uncertain if you liked a crazy quilted needlecase or not. I love to do these little ones. They sre easy to make and you can get a lot of goodies in them. Use it often!
