Retired from the US Navy. Married, 3 grown kids, 5 grandchildren.
I am a Geocacher, Postcrosser, Letterboxer & Bookcrosser.
I bowl, play racquetball, golf, fish & shoot competitively as a member of the I.D.P.A.

I like ALL kinds of music.
Classical, classic rock, country, jazz, blues, gospel & YES ... even opera!
Grisham, John Sandford, Andrew Vachss, Stephen King, Stephen Ambrose, John Katz, Cop stories, Suspense, WW II History, Books about golfing (Not instructional books, but books about golfers and golfing stories.)
I RARELY miss Jeopardy! Favorites are LOST, Heroes, NCIS, and cop shows. I enjoy watching Pro & college football and basketball, though I'm not a big sport's nut. I just like any good game.
My work schedule is really weird, so I'm usually in bed by 8 PM, so the TV that I watch is often on tape delay. Maybe I need TIVO! LOL
Crafts ... Well! I'm not really what you would call a crafter, but I enjoy learning new things.
I have been a letterboxer for a few years and I have made some handmade rubber stamps, nothing extremely detailed, but not too bad either.
I recently had a POSTCROSSING card to send and could not find exactly the right card so I made my own. It turned out pretty well ... I think!
If there is something I don't know how to do and I want to try it, I get a book from the library or research on the internet, and I try it. If I send you something that I've never tried before, I hope that you won't be disappointed. I'll let you know if it is a first attempt, so PLEASE keep that in mind when you rate me. I am all heart and very enthusiastic anyway! I WON"T send you a piece of crap, I promise!
NEW INFO --- Well, I've sent a couple Handmade postcards and did pretty well. I went out today and bought some supplies, "Tiny" fiskars scissors for detail work, some edge / border scissors, a 1# scrap-pak, a rubber stamp lettering set. I'm collecting magazines from neighbors for images and words, and I'm reading HOW-TO's. I think I'm hooked!
How does a 52 year old man get himself into this? LOL

Well, this is aimed at my Chat-room group, specifically for the 69 WTA! ... Ladies!
You probably know more about what I need than I do. Maybe you can even push me in a new direction, but for now, my main interest is ATC's, so I am looking for:
-Images -Letters -Embellishments, i.e. ribbon, stickers, tiny bling, floss, yarn, string or fabric scraps, lace, burlap, buttons. -Paper, i.e. various background pages, watercolor paper, sheet music, card stock, tissue (LOL-inside joke,) playing cards, tarot cards, old dictionary pages, canceled postage stamps, tickets, playbills, paper foreign money, etc.
Anything will do. I will be happy to have anything you think I could use that isn't listed. I'll update this when I learn more about what i'm trying to do.

Hi Johnny! I found you. :-)
always good to have another revolutionary...even if the group has been pretty inactive as of late...feel free to start a swap and generate some buzz...
Hey! Saw your post in the Games forum (addictive little things, aren't they) and came to say hello. I also handcarve my stamps - wanted to try bookcrossing but a) English books are expensive in Korea and b) wouldn't be appreciated by the majority of readers who might pick them up... :(
Good afternoon to you (it's 1pm here now)
You're very sweet, thank you. I am very excited to receive your postcard ! Glad you joined the second one too.
Thanks for the comment:)
