My family and I moved a few weeks and I now have my art room unpacked so I'm ready to start swapping again! YIPPEE!!

I am married to my wonderful husband Joe and we have two boys, Joshua (5 years old) and Jacob (3 years old). I've always been an arts and crafts enthusiast. My mom majored in art so I think that's where I get my creativity, I've grown up around it.

I'm kind of a jill-of-all-trades. I love trying new things. If I see something that looks interesting I give it a whirl... sometimes I stick with it sometimes I don't. You can follow by blog about my artistic endeavors at www.kimagination1.blogspot.com with a subtitle "Art with a dab of family" because I try to stay focused on my art adventures but every now and then I have to throw in a little bit of family. (Although I haven't updated it in quite a while because of the move).

I love to SEW and QUILT. I love, love, love fabric!

One of my latest artistic endeavors is ZENTANGLES. If you know what they are then horray! If you don't just look it up right here on Swap-Bot.

I love making ATC's and try to use unusual things such at duck tape, fabric/felt, buttons, aluminum foil, foamboard. I don't use a lot of paper so there's no telling what you'll get!

I also like to KNIT. I've knit scarves for quite a while but then became disinterested because I was bored. A few months ago the knitting bug bit me again but I DIDN'T want to do another scarf. So instead I challenged myself to knit a pair of socks and it's safe to say that I'm addicted to sock knitting. I'm on my third pair and love it!

Another passion is MAKING JEWELRY, bracelets and earrings are at the top of this list but I also make hair clips, necklaces, decorate shoes, etc.

My first and always-and-forever hobby is PHOTOGRAPHY. I've had an account on Flickr for a few years now and on January first I committed to taking one picture a day for 365 days and "journal" about it. Wow am I having fun!

I also dabble in painting (acrylic and watercolor)

• I am an organizational freak.

• Favorite colors: Bright yellow, orange and rich blues and greens. No pastels please.

• I love, love, love buttons

• I like mermaids & mermans, the Smurfs, cupcakes and "cartoon type" mushrooms.

• My favorite flower is the black-eyed susan.

• I'm fascinated with the Amish lifestyle and make yearly pilgrimages to Lancaster, PA.

• Favorite season is winter. I hate summer because of the high humidity here in VA.

• I prefer the mountains over the beach (again the whole fall/winter vs. spring/summer thing)

• I LOVE cold coffee but can't stand hot coffee.

• Anything by Beverly Lewis and Wanda Brunstetter.

• Christian fiction

• Race relations in the 60's.

• Period pieces

• Nightmare Before Christmas (Sally is my favorite character)

• Witness (Totally fascinated with the Amish lifestyle)

I attended high school in the 80's so most of what I listen to came from that time period.

I love Michael Jackson (I still can't believe he's gone!)

LIKES:

• I love BUTTONS, all kinds of buttons. Vintage buttons, glass buttons, buttons with paintings or motifs on them, handmade fabric covered buttons (ok the last one is my very favorite!)

• Animals: I am a huge animal lover but I am partial to CATS especially BLACK CATS. I also like hedgehogs, giraffes, ladybugs, owls, chipmunks and red pandas.

• FABRIC - 100% cottons and flannels.

• Beads - Any shape, any color, any kind (no cheap plastic though)

• Scrapbooking paper - any color any design (Although I don't really like holiday themed papers).

• Other craft supplies I like: felt, ribbons, "trinkets", sequins, charms, broken earrings & necklaces.

• I keep seeing swaps for matchboxes but have never done one so if any of my partners loves to make these little things I'd love to see what it's all about.

• Handmade Postcards.

• Anything with a cat on it... cats, cats, cats.

• ATC's - I LOVE these! I like making and collecting them.

DISLIKES: (I'm pretty easy to please)

• Tea... yuck!
• Stickers - no thank-you.

I rate based on what the swap is about... not how many extras you put in. I mean they are nice and everything but I'm in a group because I want to swap that item. I'm not stingy with hearts but I do like to see effort put into the item being swapped.
