We own and run an alpaca ranch. Rogue Valley Alpacas. We specialize in Suri Alpacas but still have Huyacaya Alpacas just to be fair,
We live just outside of town so we are close enough to the real world but are still far enough away to enjoy the night sky. Kind of a nice balance.
Anything that provides comic relief or takes me to an interesting alternative future (5th Element or Star Wars & such). I want to escape into a movie not be reminded of the worlds problems. I guess I am strange because I don't like chick-flicks or tear-jerkers I don't watch much TV, thank heavens for my DVR, but True Blood, Dr Who, Bones, Castle, & anything on the History or Discovery Channels are on my record list. Audio Books are a personal favorite and I am always plugged in to one.
Machine Embroidery, Quilting, & Crocheting are my major hobbies. I am learning to knit but am not very good at it. I don't do scrap booking or small hook crocheting. My hands shake a bit so detailed work is beyond my comfort level. I like making cloth dolls but have issues with the faces. OH, & I bought an electric spinning wheel and am now learning that too, well we do have alpacas....
I have recently had Gamma-Knife Radiation on a benign tumor in my left, inner ear. I am very fortunate because I caught it early and didn't require brain surgery, This is the most serious I like to get and if anyone is interested in learning more about Acoustic Neuroma, IM me privately or Google it.
I''m a mother of twins@26, triplets@22, 1 cat & a new Pomeranian puppy.. A few of the kids have boomeranged & they either go to school or work the ranch, we are always looking for good "Poo-Scoopers". :) I've been married almost 29 years to my best friend & wouldn't trade him in for a newer model for a million anything! I like all colors, but I am not very fond of lavender. Bright, Subtle it doesn't matter. Halloween, Thanksgiving & Christmas are my favorite holidays & hubby was born on Christmas Day.
I love to Metal Detect, pan for gold, & search for old dumps. Time is always a factor so many times the desire to do these things is the closest I get to them.
Thrifting is the new spectator sport! I love to find "treasures" and create new things out of old. I am not an pro like you see on TV but I'm always looking for that elusive buried treasure. I love good chocolate, fabric, old colored glass & dinnerware, tea cups, handmade items, and just about anything my partner wishes to share with me. Vintage sewing patterns from the thrift store are great & size isn't an issue, I just like 'em.
I collect old kitchenware, tools, tins, & wall decor. I love old glass bottles, especially if they are embossed with some old remedy, I am also looking for old sewing needle packs especially if from a local area store or WW2 related military packs. Atomic Era mid-century decor is cool. (Dating myself, again) Somethings I always look for: Pink Flamingo's Old advertising cups or dishware Green Fire-King restaurant-ware Depression glass Pre 1960's sewing patterns Old kitchen tools Old sewing notions Good Quilting fabric/notions Good chocolate Good coffee (Kona blends are wonderful) Good laughs
This is a hard one to do.... I feel like a choosy beggar. BUT here it goes:

Biased and bigoted opinions are also not enjoyed.
