Do you collect Girl Guide or Girl Scout Promise Badges/ Membership Pins? If so, I'm looking for peeps to swap with :)
I'm Lorna, I'm 32 and currently life is out of whack because of Severe Depression meaning no job and seriously curtailed brain power.
My two main hobbies right now are keeping fit (running, swimming, gym and pilates) and collecting Guide badges (Girl Scout) which has gotten a wee bit out of control. I'd love to swap my spares either UK badges I'm missing or foreign promise badges.
I live back at home with my parents, Benny the Jack Russell, Border terrier cross and 2 cats- Olly and Mirrin. Mother has vetoed my getting any new rats, a 3 toed sloth, an anteater or an otter..
I'm building a new website with my badges where I hope I can build a little community of swappers- the skeleton of the site is at http://shinyguidebadges.wordpress.com/
I like British satirical comedy so things like 'Have I Got News for You', 'Mock the Week', 'The Thick of It' and 'Russell Howard's Good News'. Also, 'Miranda'. I'm in love with Gary :D
I'm a big Sherlock (BBC) fan (but the first Guy Ritchie film was highly joyable) and was a loyal follower of the X-files in my time.

I like a good film regardless of where and when it was made.
Jurrassic Park (but I will watch JP3 when its on as well), Run Lola Run, Amelie, The Great Dictator (Charlie Chaplin), The Shawshank Redemption, Back to the Future Trilogy, Gladiator, Exit through the Gift Shop, Shallow Grave, Shaun of the Dead
I used to read factual books mostly. Travel, running, British history, education, women's history, women in the military, art and artists' lives.
Right now, I can't read as my concentration is so poor. But I will gladly take recommendations on any of the above.
Primarily, right now, I'd like to concentrate on swapping badges but if I should stray and do a diferent type of swap then I'd love to receive practical items that I can use instead of things that will end up stored in a box.
Any of the following makes my day! But don't feel bound by them. I love surprises!

I only have a couple of things that would be a waste of time and effort to send to me:
I have some spare Girl Guide metal badges. I have photos. If you are from abroad and have something British you'd like to get hold of, I could do that then swap it for one of your badges.
Otherwise,
As I'm in the UK, any mail goes Royal Mail Airmail which generally takes a week to the USA. However, it may take longer to reach you due to customs hold-ups which I can't predict.
I rate the same day I receive your swap!
All mail will be sent on or before the deadline. If you can't send something by a deadline for whatever reason, just send me a message- life happens and I don't get grumpy.
Likewise, if I'm delayed (hopefully not, I'll let you know asap). If you don't receive something (heaven forbid!)- I haven't flaked- its the mail. Let me know and I'll resend.
Thanks for reading!
