I've always loved arts and crafts of all kinds, but I'm a former engineer by trade turned SAHM. I love trying new techniques, learning to do new projects, and connecting with people from all over the world.

My favorite colors are purples, pinks, blues, black, red, greens. I'm mostly drawn to cool colors, but I also groove on 60's looking and pop art type colors. I also love black and white and sepia tones.

I love animals, especially cats, dolphins and sea turtles. I've always been drawn to fantasy - dragons, faeries, elves, gnomes. I really like retro things - 60's, 50's, 40's, and I'm finally growing to appreciate the 70's somewhat. Love the 80's.

I love chocolate and tea. Don't really do green tea except when in a Japanese restaurant. Love black teas, fruit teas, mint teas. Hot cocoa! Hooked on Starbucks vanilla lattes and toffee almond bars. I love to try candies from different countries or something from a local or regional shop in the US. Things I can't get here in Colorado. One of my favorite savory foods are gyoza from a local sushi restaurant. Heaven!

I'm a big gamer - board games, video games, cards. I love to collect decks of playing cards.

I'm definitely a child of the 80's when it comes to music - New Wave, pop, rock - stuff like Howard Jones, Tears for Fears, New Order, the Police, Crowded House, the Go-Go's. I also like some jazz, especially Diana Krall and Keiko Matsui.

Mostly fantasy and science fiction. I like stories with cool world creation to them, or unique stories, not stuff that's overly heavy on the politics and swordplay (a little bit of that is ok). Some fave authors are Kage Baker, Sharon Shinn, Jacqueline Carey, Kristine Katharine Rusch's Fey series. I also love the "Little House" books and re-read the series every 3 or 4 years. I think it's about time again...

I hardly watch any first run tv except for Mad Men and Food Network - Good Eats, Barefoot Contessa, Everyday Italian are some of my faves. I love reruns of the Pratice, Wings, Homefront (post-WWII drama from the early 90's), Soap, and Beverly Hills 90210 (shh - my guilty pleasure!) I also have a soft spot for the Backyardigans.

I've really gotten into papercrafts and ATC's lately, mostly doing collage, and I'm getting ready to give gluebooks a go. I am a long time knitter and I dabble in sewing, embroidery, and beadwork. I'd love to learn to do fused glass.

I'd love to receive beads, bits of fabric or fiber, ribbon, collage papers and ephemera, any sorts of craft goodies really.

I also love to cook and bake (I have a serious sweet tooth!) I tend to collect cookbooks, but I actually use them as well.

Horror movies and books - things that are too graphic/bloody and gorey. Spicy foods. Religious items. Not to say I don't like spiritual or inspirational things - just non-denominational, please. I lean more toward the earth-based religions, but am not really following any specific path.
