My name is Krystin and I was never good at doing these profiles. :)
DH and I were finally married (after 7 years together) on March 23rd, 2009.
We had two spoiled cats that we had to relocate (the spawn's allergic) but we're still combating cat hair. My apologies if a stary hair gets to you.
We welcomed our first (and last) child, a girl - Zoë, on May 10th 2011! HURRAY!! So, I'm very scatter-brained. Still.
I have a spotty memory, so I might forget to rate. Please, please, please let me know if I forgot!
I love crafty things, but there is so much I'm just getting into. I can knit squares and rectangles and that's all my knitting ability, but I love to do it. :) I've been making bead jewelry for over 15 years, but just began to work with wire. I adore cross stitch and have finally started to make my own patterns and subversive work. I've begun making note cards but I haven't gotten envies down, yet. I use store bought ones, it just seems nicer than the weird ones I make. Helpful tips are appreciated. :)
I love all kinds of music except new country and even then I don't hate it. My favorite band of all time is Devo. Regular bands in my playlist are all 80's punk and new wave with 1950's standards and newer pop music thrown in.
I love Chuck Palahniuk and Douglas Adams. Steve Martin is an excellent writer and Shopgirl was much, much better as a book than a movie. I like Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum books. I'll read anything I can find, though, even the toothpaste tube while I brush my teeth.
The Jerk, Zoolander, Dirty Love, Raising Arizona, Idiocracy, Arsenic and Old Lace, Super Troopers, Me, Myself, and Irene, Stuck on You, Dodgeball, Boondock Saints, V for Vendetta, The Last Temptation of Christ, Anything with Bruce Campbell
The Colbert Report, Angel, South Park, Dirty Jobs, Dexter, Occasional Simpsons, Tosh.0, local news. I get most of my news online, though.
Our little kidlet is a devious one. She knows what she's doing. The sly smile when she fake-cries to be picked up, pretending to sleep so she can pop up and make me squeak. :)
She can grip, rather forcefully, with her toes, Her feet are huge for her size, too. Actually, she's big all around. She's tall for her age and weight, so she's about 6 months ahead of her 'recommended' size. If you are kind enough to send her something to wear, err on the side of too big. :)
She loves those linking plastic ring things. We want to have a ton of them to make a garland for her room. If you, generously, add to the collection, the only requirement is that they link and un-link. :)
She loves noise makers: rattles, music toys, crackle fabric toys, squeakers, cat toys (really, but we don't let her have those, they're too small)
She has a big head. Just like her parents.
We love weird clothes, she loves wearing clothes (we hope she does until she's at least 30).
She likes being read to! Awesome!!
I greatly prefer handmade items over store bought stuff, with only a few exceptions to that rule. :)
handmade/home made

manufactured stuff

How people can say our name wrong is beyond me. Everyone called me kirstin or Christian. Or spelled my name with an I instead of an e. It's nit that hard, people! Lol
