I recently learned to knit and am really enjoying making scarves for everyone I know! I'm hoping to make a mobius scarf soon. Right now I'm working on a really beautiful pattern that makes interlocking triangles out of self-striping yarn and also a multi-colored brown scarf out of Alp-Light for my best friend.

Business, biographies, true crime. Fiction, too, sometimes, but never romance.

Some specific favorites: God-Shaped Hole, Ordinary People, anything by Patricia Cornwell or Jodi Picoult.

During the day, I'm an HR professional; at night, an avid reader and crafter; all the time, I'm the mama to a darling six-year-old little girl and two old-man cats.

My other big hobby is scuba diving - I took lessons a few years ago and have been hooked ever since. Last year, I took dive trips to the British Virgin Islands and to Belize; I'm hoping for another trip this summer - there's been talk about Mexico or perhaps the Red Sea. I love the ocean and getting to take a peek at the bottom - so few people will ever see the things that I've seen and I feel so blessed that I've had the opportunity.
