I grew up on the east coast, lived in Chicago for awhile and now have settled in San Diego. I love traveling and have been fortunate to see parts of the world. I have been collecting postcards for many years and I was quite surprised to see how many do so here.

Christmas is my favorite time of the year! My husband and I go a bit overboard decorating for the Christmas holidays. But this is just one of my passions, I love all kinds of crafts and am currently working on patchwork pups and a knitted/crocheted patchwork afghan for Warm Up America (see website above).

- I did not paint this, this is my favorite painting and I have yet to find the artist- the signature is indecipherable.

When I am creating quilts, I only work with cottons. I have done one baby quilt in flannel, but I just didn't enjoy it as much. I have shelves of fabrics of all colors, patterns and themes. I am particularly fond of black and white patterns, they seem to brighten my quilts. I already mentioned Scotties as a favorite craft item, but I love fabrics with them in it. I am less fond of the old fashioned-civil war patterns that tend to be muted and quieten the overall look.

I have decided on using plaids this Christmas, we are going Scottish style. I am in the process of gathering all different types of plaids to make various crafts- gift bags for the table, pillows, perhaps a quilt or two.

Dislikes - I do not like/want any religious items or incense.

Oh dear... this is very hard, because even my least favorite color can present a fun craft challenge. I guess my favorite colors are purple and forest green.

Yes, I am a Jane Austen fan and a J.K. Rowling fan, sigh. I know Jane Austen is no longer alive, but hopefully J. K. Rowling will continue writing.

I also enjoy Tolkien, Ludlum, James Patterson, Jonathan Kellerman and Nora Ephron.

I really do not like Horror and Vampires, I keep a steady supply of garlic to ward them off.

I have been eating the diabetic way, which has helped to keep the weight down. But I really love chocolate- milk and dark (not so much the white), and will indulge occasionally. I like the afternoon tea with scones and sandwiches. I love pancakes and pasta.

All the Harry Potter movies, All the Star War movies, Pride and Prejudice all versions, Lord of the Rings, Finding Nemo, Cold Comfort Farm, I Robot, Men in Black I and II, Power of One....

I do not care for horror films.
