I am an avid reader. I love paper, pens, notebooks and anything you can find at a stationery store. I spend much time on my computer, researching anything and everything. I make greeting cards and bookmarks and have been lucky enough to have sold many of my crafts to friends and co-workers..even co-workers of my family. I still love writing long letters by hand, which my family and friends on the other side of Canada receive regularly. And I enter contests if it involves telling a story to win. (I've won several) Mostly funny stories. Guess I'm a book geek, a story teller...oh and I love photography! I spend many hours taking pics, which I use sometimes in my cards. I have framed my pictures and presented them to my friends as gifts. I love wine and chocolate, travelling around British Columbia on the weekend and seeing my grandchildren's faces light up when I visit. Oh and I almost forgot ...I love to bake. I really sucked at cake decorating though, so I took a course a few years ago and now my grandkids are no longer ashamed to take my cakes to school functions. I spend lots of time in the stores looking for great flavourings and items to use in the hundreds of muffins I seem to make for my big family.
Anything from the 50's, 60's and 70's. Love Classical too. Country is good too. Enjoy some of the modern stuff if it's mellow.
Anything by Stephen King and Ann Rule. Love biographies of political figures and non-fiction. Also any book that makes me laugh.
St. Elmo's Fire, The Holiday, Something About Mary, comedies and love stories.
Medium, George Lopez, Cooking Shows, Mentalist, Hallmark movies and anything on the History channel. I watch everything dealing with the paranormal.
Love anything to do with paper...Greeting Cards, Bookmarks, Writing. I'm crazy about photography and take hundred of photos almost every day. I like to make photo cards from my favourite shots. I like knitting, but it takes me forever to finish a project. And after all that, it's sometimes not good enough to wear!!! I've tried many different crafts, but not all of them turned out well. Still I've enjoyed trying. I've made bath salts and gingerbread Xmas ornaments, hand puppets.
I collect pretty writing paper, cards of any kind that stand out on the shelf (preferably the smaller size). I like cards from all over the world and usually buy some when I travel. I don't keep them all for myself, but like to surprise my friends and family with a "Hello" on that pretty paper or card.
I love making my own cards, so I'm always searching for tiny tiny gems to use on them. And cute envelopes for them.
I am nuts about hummingbirds, dragonfies and butterflies. Anything showing a picture of these makes me smile. Sunflowers, lillies...and smiling children's faces... are all cool to see on paper, cards or on anything at all.
I feel blessed that I have friends who are a mixed bag of personality and excitement. They are funny, kind, some patient..some not, some mysterious, some very crazy...some just slightly so, some gorgeous.. some very plain; all of them loyal and caring. Most are adventurous...NONE of them boring! I'm certainly glad they choose to spend time with me, either in person or by email and snail mail.

Goodness! That was some super fast-moving mail. I JUST dropped the playlist swap in the mail.
Hello Dee :)
I enjoyed reading your profile. I love that you're not giving up in front of sms and mobile communication of new age, including emails and such, and still make most of your cards by hand. One of the reasons I joined sb is because I was tired of getting only bills in my mailbox! ;)
Glad to find you through Make a New Friend - SB style swap. Hope you'll consider to accept my friend request. :)
Mihaela
I am sorry Dee I read that wrong name for my partner! I did really like your profile and you card making, and that you leave pretty note for people just to make them smile!
Michele,
This is for make a friend swapbot style swap! OH I am so glad I got you for a partner. We both love paper! I really like paper crafting. Making cards is something I would like to get better at. Maybe we can do a private swap sometime!
Cheers,
Fawn

Dee, Thank you for the birthday wishes here and on FB. You're so thoughtful. ;)
Hi Dee , I found your intro letter at the group . I have a dear friend in Canada named Dee Marie. She is a addict to taking pics too.
No mail from you recently, HOWEVER, mail is incredibly slow arriving to my post office box (judging from postmarks) AND I haven't been to my box since Thursday. I'm heading over there tomorrow. I work only steps from the post office, but the beginning of the month is crazy busy and I usually don't leave the office while the PO is open.
Hang tight, Newfie! Postal strikes are a bummer, but it will end. I haven't followed the strike news as close as I should, but I know my mailbox is going to be sad without its weekly dose of Canada.
