Update: November 2011: I have some medical issues going on and won't be able to join or host any swaps right now. If you need to drop me from your group, I will take no offense. I'll contact you when I get back if I'm dropped (but I don't know when that will be). Thanks. Happy Holidays to all.
I live in Plymouth, Massachusetts (aka "America's Hometown"). I'm close to Boston and even closer to Cape Cod so it's a great location. Plus I get all four seasons here, which is quite awesome. I have two little boys (my 7 year old stepson, and my beautiful 5 year old "baby" boy) and one big one (my wonderful husband). ♥
ATC ~ "Dryad"
June 2010 I've just completed the training to become a Reiki practitioner and I love it. It's a wonderful modality and I'm looking forward to continuing my education to become a Reiki Master.
I cannot live without writing and reading (oh, and air and water and other such superfluous things). I'm a huge fan of food...and the perfect wine to go with it. I love nature, animals, yoga, dark chocolate, cheese, good beer, candles, essential oils, crystals, and colors (especially sage green, grey-blue, earth tones, & black--I've also become fond of that "dusty" rose color...not quite pink, but sort of pink-ish) and I adore monochromatic color schemes.
You can also find me on BookCrossing, PostCrossing, BookMooch, and Etsy.
I give to this site every day.
~*~ SCATTER KINDNESS ~*~
"TV on DVD"--I am addicted.
Some favorites: Northern Exposure, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Gilmore Girls, Scrubs, Angel, Alias, Desperate Housewives, and various types of documentaries. Malcolm in the Middle is great for some good belly laughs. :-)
For children's shows, Peep is the bomb (with Joan Cusack narrating).

My beautiful furchild, Sage.
Princess Bride, Ocean's Eleven (the remake), Joy Luck Club, Harry Potter(s), LOTR, Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, Chicago, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (the original one with Gene Wilder), The Chronicles of Narnia (The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and Prince Caspian)
I don't care for romantic comedies, but think Notting Hill is brilliant.
I like almost anything by: Mel Brooks, M. Night Shyamalan, & Monty Python
I enjoy making ATCs and APCs but when I recently packed up to move, I realized I have WAY too many ATCs in my collection. I'd love some more APCs, though. I also enjoy making papercrafts, earrings, and working with polymer clay. I love taking pictures and scrapbooking (mostly for my boys).
ATC ~ "Celebrate"
I suddenly feel the need to defend my ATCs. Please look at these. A lot of swaps lately won't allow collages and that's what I do. I collage. And I spend a lot of time creating it--colors, placement, etc. Some people say it's not a "real" ATC. I say it is. If you don't agree, kindly remove me from your swap before partners are assigned. Please...(I'd rather be removed than receive a bad rating because someone doesn't like my card). The two pictures on this profile are examples of a "slapped on printed-out image". Everybody has their own taste, of course, but an ATC is defined as a card that is 2 ½ X 3 ½ inches and is an original card made by the person trading it. The definition does not specify a media.
my family, my friends, nature, animals, the seasons, spirituality, books, writing, yoga, candles, rose-scented anything, incense (especially nag champa), crystals and stones, essential oils, my tarot cards & oracle cards, handmade stuff, giving to others, products (lotions & creams...I'm a bit of a product nut), bags (pocketbooks, purses, coin purses, tote bags...I'm a bag lady, too), etsy, dark chocolate, wine, herbal tea, honey, learning, seeing new parts of the world, hearing about other cultures and spiritual beliefs, foreign coins
♥ Favorite Artists: Alphonse Mucha & John William Waterhouse ♥
I also love Cicely Mary Barker's "Flower Fairies"
I have recently become aware of the existence of "Dark Dudes" and...um...LOVE them! I am especially taken with Mad Bunny & Bad Bunny.
cutsie stuff, religious stuff (other than Pagan), manga (or anime)
I always send my swaps--have never missed a single one. If you haven't received something from me, please PM me. Thanks.
I rate as soon as I can after I receive a swap. I email partners before I give a 1 or 3 to see what's going on.
I have fun crafting but I also take my time and put a lot of effort into my creations. I would love to receive something you took some time and effort to make--I'll always choose quality over quantity.
I would love to do a private swap for coins or paper currency from any country (other than the US). If interested, please PM me. Thanks!
Coins from countries other than US (any denomination, old or new)
Postcards from anywhere
Vintage Postcards (ANY vintage: with postmark, without postmark, written on, no writing, can be from anywhere in the world...pretty much any postcard that is old or "vintage")
Celtic stuff
Egyptian stuff
Anything Alphonse Mucha or John William Waterhouse (postcards, bookmarks, calendars, small prints, etc.)
Anything with "Dark Dudes" (especially Mad Bunny or Bad Bunny)
Herbal teas (sealed)
Dried herbs (especially white sage, rosemary, and lavender) but any and all are great
Incense (sticks or cones...anything is good)
Stones / Crystals
Non Fiction Books (crystals or tarot reference books and Celtic or Norse mythology...see section below)
Something handmade by you
Handmade bags, coin purses, etc.
Dotee dolls or Goddess dolls (as I don't sew)
Thanks, but no thanks...
I don't need any more paper or used postage stamps, don't use ribbon, and I really don't care for super cutsie things (bits, baubles, buttons, stickers, and so forth that are, well, super "cute") so I have to store them here until I find someone who can use them so...save some postage!
I ♥ books. Some genres I would like to receive are:
NON FICTION:
Resource: gemstones / crystals, tarot
Spirituality: pagan, Celtic, Norse
Mythology: any and all cultures
FICTION:
I like most types of books although I would really prefer not to receive anything with a lot of sex and/or violence. And I don't care for romance novels.
I tend to read young adult novels a lot since I have limited time with my little ones here and I can actually get through a book. Plus, they've always been a guilty pleasure. ;-) And there are some truly great ones out there!
For DISTICT 13: I just finished Hunger Games and it was awesome. Dark, disturbing in its premise but so well-written and well presented, it's incredible. I've started the third and final book, Mockingjay, and I'm really liking it so far... I also just read a bunch of LJSmith books including Secret Circle and the Night World series. Fun stuff. And my embarrassingly guilty pleasure...PC Cast's House of Night series. And I love the Twilight Series. There are tons more but I'll run out of room. :-)
For THE HUNDRED ACRE WOOD: I also love good children's books: classics but also newer, well-written children's books, and beautifully illustrated picture books (like Alison Jay's illustrations). A few of my favorite authors and illustrators are: Theodor Geisel (Dr. Seuss), Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (Lewis Carroll), John Tenniel, & Cicely Mary Barker. I LOVE classic illustrations like John Tenniel's Alice In Wonderland, E. H. Shepard's Winnie the Pooh, Beatrix Potter, that sort of thing. :-) Maurice Sendak's illustrations are also wonderful. One of my favorites illustrated by Sendak is a not-so-well-known book, "The Moon Jumpers". Right now, I am reading a superbly written, fun, funny, witty series entitled "Theosdosia" by R.L. LaFevers. It's awesome. Hans Christian Andersen's "The Little Mermaid" is one of my favorite tales (it's a nostalgic thing from my childhood) and I love Louisa May Alcott's "Little Women".
I am also very much in love with J.K. Rowling's writings. Yes, I am. Harry Potter rocks. :-)
I've just left a bunch of groups. Please don't take it personally. The groups were either not active or I was not active in them (mostly the latter).
PASS THIS ALONG...PLEASE!
I keep seeing this word misspelled and it's driving me crazy. I have got to get this pet peeve out of the way. Here goes:
alter –verb
to make different in some particular way--as size or style; to modify
"My dress is too big. I have to alter it."
altar –noun
an elevated place or structure at which religious rites are performed, religious objects placed, or on which offerings are made to gods, ancestors, etc.
"I'm placing a candle on my altar."
Ah... Thanks... I feel better. :-)

I just thought I'd drop by to say hello and I hope you're doing ok! :)
Just dropping by to say hi...
blessings, Gypsy
Conjure Oils absolutely ROCK :D
I am really glad you like them! I had never heard of bad bunny or mad bunny before. My granddaughter loves them now! lol
I like it too! I use it a lot... sort of a kitten-in-red / little red riding hood going on. not my cat unfortunately. but reminds me of my aunt's cat jemima and my childhood cat, tiger. (could dress him up and jemima was a very friendly deaf white cat).
Omega! Thank you so much for the awesome notecards you are a sweetie!
Ohh--please, please give Shiver a try. Some people criticize it for being too slow, but I thought it was incredibly beautiful.
Thanks so much for sharing your list, too! I am excited to add more to my TBR pile, including some titles I'd never heard of like Witch Child, Theodosia, Enola Holmes, etc. And I'm glad we share a love for Lois Duncan and Louisa May Alcott! (have you read her Flower Fables, btw? So pretty! Free download online.)
I look forward to comparing notes on our reading down the road. :) I love swaps like this, so thanks so much for hosting!
Thank you! I love your ATCs. :)
OGMA!!!! you are the absolute best! thank you so very much for the R.A.K. package. I have never received one before and it was perfect and a wonderful surprise :) i've been a bit "off" and out of sorts lately and that really brightened my day thank you so much!
I've seen that one before and thought the cards were gorgeous. I have a shapeshifter deck in storage that i absolutely loved. i bought it years ago and had to save for 3 months for it! :)
