I am a mother of a four year old son and I am married to my best friend, my husband Jim. We all live in Yarmouth, Maine,

I am a writer, and I love to write fiction, and most dabble in all other kinds of writing. I have an MFA in Creative Writing as well.

I was an Early Childhood Professional for 22 years, and left the field in February to pursue teaching writing classes at College-Level. I am currently an Adjunct Professor at a community college in South Portland.

I love lots of music and it would be impossible to list all my favorites. I like garage, goth, alternative (mostly 80s alternative), and some of my favorite bands include: Joy Division, U2, B-52's, Iggy Pop, Radiohead, INXS (the original band) with Michael Hutchence), Hoodoo Gurus, Kate Bush, Siouxsie and the Banshees, NIN, Echo and the Bunnymen, NIN, Siouxie and the Banshees, BECK, POE, Portishead, Bauhaus, Davie Bowie, The Pretenders/Chrissie Hynde, Annie Lennox, and The Smiths.

My favorite writer is Margaret Atwood, and I love all of her books and poetry. It is hard to list all of my favorite books and easier to list some of my many favorite writers: Flannery O'Connor, Raymond Carver, Roland Merullo, Jonathan Lethem, Suzanne Strempek-Shea, Anais Nin, Henry Miller, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ray Bradbury, John Connolly, Robert Heinlein, Anais Nin, Henry Miller, Jack Kerouac, Hortense Powdermaker (anthropologist), Anita Shreve, Virginia Woolf, Sylvia Plath: ...and so many many more.

My favorite movies include: You Can't Take It With You, On Borrowed Time, I love movies by film makers: Tim Burton, Hayao Miyazaki, Fritz Lang, and Wim Wenders;
Dogs in Space, Control, In the Name of the Father, The City of Lost Children, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Home for the Holidays, and I like: old black and white films, B-rated movies, science fiction, classic monster movies, steampunk movies, etc..X-Files

I don't watch a lot of television, but when I do, I focus on certain times when the Public Television Network is broadcasting British Comedies. For now, that is on Tuesday and Saturday nights... I like Dr. Who, Torchwood, Life on Mars, Ugly Betty, and sci-fi shows. I miss the X-Files.

Altered art and paper crafts/piecing projects that involve books and boxes. Decorated boxes, most anything to do with books/journals, I like vintage memorabilia, ATC cards, ribbons, lace, cool papers, vintage jewelry, dragons, monsters--classic monsters, medieval things, time travel, steampunk, and mixed media.

I love the way the dotee dolls look, and look forward to trying to make one sometime soon.

I do not like things that smell like cigarette smoke.

Clowns--they are just wrong. I had reoccurring nightmares about them as a child to the point that my mom thought there was someone coming into my room.
