Let's Start With The Bad News

[badge]

I live in a dinky place, don't drive, am a recluse in real life but charming online, have been known to be crotchetty. Love handmade, thrifted, vintage, retro, and anything you got a bargain on.

My least favorite thing to receive is anything (ATCs, matchboxes, inchies) with butterflies, flowers, religion or Disney, thank you! No offense, it just seems every other thing I receive has butterflies and flowers and none of them are unique or original any more!

I'm more on the creepy, dark, weird, spooky, Vintage, Halloweeny, Day of the Dead, funereal side of things. But I do love sparkly, glittery, retro, humorous, vintage Christmas (for me it's the tradition, memories, family, lights and colors of the holiday I love, no religious overtone), pinups, vintage cute, and uniquely original handmade stuff.

I love to receive 'stuff' in Halloween colors (oranges and blacks) and all shades of BROWNS, especially buttons, fabric, embellishments, ephemera, etc.

If you remember nothing else, remember I love VINTAGE, HALLOWEEN, CHRISTMAS, BUTTONS, BEADS, BOTTLECAPS and sparkly papers.

Music is Our Boyfriend

The Samples!! All time favorite, best band you've never heard of.

Beatles (I have IMAGINE tattooed on my forearm and my daughter's middle name is Julia after John Lennon's mom)

Anything Beatles related, especially Lennon, makes me happy. :O)

Reading is sexy!

King, Koontz, Terry Pratchett rules my heart, Dave Barry, Garrison Keillor, Michael Moore rocks. I don't read as voraciously as I used to due to malfunctioning stoopid eyeballs. :O( I could use some powerful reading glasses.

I love old magazine clippings and book illustrations and ephemera from the past.

I Use A Lot of Kleenex

Movies: I like 'em. All of them as long as they DON'T include Chuck Norris, Sly Stallone, or Steven Segal.

I love horror (not gore), comedy (not college soft porn) and old black & white films. Danny Kaye, Robert Downey Jr., Doris Day, and Tony Curtis are my all time favorites, and Lucille Ball! Love Bing, Gene Kelly. Jake Gyllenhaal, Antonio Banderas... Faves include Dogma, Bubble Boy, The Long Kiss Goodnight, Prairie Home Companion, In the Land of Women, Hogfather, Desperado, Once Upon A Time In Mexico, Love Actually, The Quick and the Dead, Stranger Than Fiction, You've Got Mail, Donny Darko, Holiday Inn and White Christmas. I don't do movies with animals in them, they will inevitably make me cry.

TV: Old Black & White Movies

Stephen Colbert, Daily Show, Project Runway, Fairly Odd Parents, Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends , Jimmy Neutron, Top Chef, I Love Lucy, Cold Case, Dexter, Survivor, the Food channel, Alton Brown, reality crap cuz it's the LEAST real thing on tv, NO daytime tv. Old stuff: Frasier, X-Files, Six Feet Under, Outer Limits, Tales From the Crypt, Dick Van Dyke, Bob Newhart, Tales From the Dark Side...

Makin' It Real

My favorite artists are Renoir and Maxfield Parrish.

I DO these crafts and love receiving them:

Vintage!!! Altered anything, mixed media collage, chunky books, matchbox shrines and fills, Button fairies, bottlecaps, itty bittie books, dotees, collaged jewelry, anything made with buttons, Eclectic complicated thought provoking unique original NON-cookie cutter or greeting card cricut/cuttlebug type ATCs...

unique or scary dolls (any medium, cute or scary), crocheted things, knitted things, quilted and patchwork things, stuffies, handmade notecards, beaded jewelry makings, polymer clay faces and foods, amigurumi.

I used to scrapbook, but now only in minis, on acrylic, and very chunkily, but I still love chunky and 3-d embellies and mini chipboard albums in any shape.

I don't like abstracts and 'modern art'...not too fond of digitals unless they're extraordinarily unique or humorous or kitchy...

Nothing religious, bless your heart .

My ANGELS: @Hidnomen for the Macabre Dotee + ATC, flaked on by @gabs

@RobinT for Ladydy5's christmas Ornament Swap, victim of the great @AuntieM scandal

@Onyxlight for a Pretty Princess Dotee, flaked on by @Trihok

Still looking for an angel for the Macabre button fairie swap, flaked on by @VintageGal

Thank you angels!! Good karma on ya!

I like...you like

My space is soooo teeeeeny. But I DO love my CRAP!!

Anything

VINTAGE

shiny sparkly glittery,

Black Cats,

Vintage witchies,

teensy awesome things,

things from the thrift store,

dollar store finds,

colored wire (24-26 gauge or less),

cool seasonal things of any description,

Embroidery floss,

bling like self adhesive gems & rhinestones,

Bits of Polymer clay

and cupcakes, especially emotional ones!

Skulls -cute pink girly goth sugar skulls or scary! (but not really into pirates)

Vintage anything

I like edgy, humorous, cuter than heck, dark and creepy, innovative, opinionated, unsafe arty stuff. I like the UNordinary. I love beautiful, cluttered, clever, colorful, vintage, gothic, Halloween, Xmas, retro, over the top, unusual, funny, awesome stuff.

I like food with faces.

I love stuff from grandma's era, the 50's & 40's, give or take 20 years.

Pinup girls

I draw the line at visual vulgarity, gore, religion, animal hating and cruelty, preaching (religious or political) abstract art and meanness, and I'm kind of impatient with dumbassery.

Never ever have I been late or flaked on a swap. If it hasn't been mailed, I don't mark 'sent', so let me know if the postman eats it and I'll fix it.

I Love..*ECLECTIC!*

Ephemera - always welcome!

I have a love of charm bracelets and adore any handmade charms

embellishments for collage altering (crap, broken stuff, rusty junk is awesome)

beads and charms, especially skullies and wing beads!

surfaces (anything I can alter~~),

the word IMAGINE,

notecards with envelopes,

Day of the Dead things,

60's stuff, seventies stuff,

My fave scents are white tea, patchouli, violet, carnation, and vanilla, I LOVE things that smell good.

I love to glue things to other things, so things I can glue things to, glue, and things to glue to them are a favorite. :OD

Extra love

One More Wish List

^..^<

ATCs or other sized collages with the themes of John Lennon, Robert Downey Jr., Danny Kaye, Tony Curtis, White Christmas (the movie), I Love Lucy, Stephen Colbert, Barack Obama, Halloween, cemeteries

Address labels! I go thru them like water!

Cool pens - pens disappear around me into an alternate dimension.

Anthropormorphised things but NOT brand name kawaii, it cornfuses me.

Matchbox Shrines, (not fills, but SHRINES) and bottle cap charms, any kind of shrine in honor of any of my fave things, especially John Lennon, Robert Downey Jr., Danny Kaye, White Christmas (the movie), Stephen Colbert, I Love Lucy, Barack Obama, Vintage Halloween, Day of the Dead

printed fabric collage sheets..

I have a houseful of cats who love the little catnip mousies.

Save your money

...things I don't like much: religious stuff & angels, flowers as a main focus, eyelets (I don't use 'em), stickers unless they're relevant to my interests then I love 'em, bookmarks, alcohol-referenced stuff, butterfly stuff, Asian themed stuff, puppy stuff (cuz I'm a kitty person, but I sure do miss my dog), Barbie stuff, Disney stuff (any licensed characters, really), sports or team stuff, self-help stuff, greeting card- or cuttlebug/cricut, Stampin' Up (cutesy but oh-so boring) or abstract type 'art'.

I won't let anything go to waste, I'm a recycler, re-user of packaging and regifter.
