• I moved August 1, 2008! The new address is in the database, please check even if you've swapped with me before. Don't worry if you've recently sent me something, though - I've arranged a redirection - but of course, it's faster to use the new address.
• I try to send before the deadline to avoid any hassle and press sent immediately after I've done that. If I know I'll be late, I'll message you.

I'm a student at university, I love books, classical and folk music, long walks, woods, cemeteries (for the quiet, I'm not goth or anything like that), vegetarian food, recycling, swimming, biking as a means of transport, writing letters, stationery, learning languages, learning about different cultures and religions, herbal tea,... the list goes on!

I'm trying to reconnect with my crafty side so that's one of the big reasons why I came here: for getting inspired by others' work and sharing my own :-). The other big reason is that I love to get to know other people, cultures and stuff.

I speak
* German as my native language
* English, fairly decent but could always use improvement, hehe
* Spanish, low intermediate, I'd love to improve!
* basic Hungarian
* also learned Latin at school but don't really speak it ;-)

• altered books (only just getting started, though)

• messing around with gouache, pastels, and inks (I don't think you can call this drawing or painting!)
• weaving small things (although I don't do this too often)
• trying to sew my own clothes
• hand carved rubber stamps

• just getting into zines, whee!
• now trying myself at handmade postcards and planning to create my own stationery (as if my stash isn't already big enough, hehe)

• blue, especially any kind of dark blue, turquoise,... blue just makes me happy!
• black
• deep red, burgundy
• any deep shades, for example deep green, deep violet
• earth tones
• sunny yellow
• grey, especially cool shades

I do NOT like: pink! and pastels, except in stationery.

• nature
• landscapes, including urban
• animals, especially birds, fish, dolphins, cats, lizards
• people from all over the world
• abstract designs
• lists
• quotes
• Chinese, Arabic, and non-Roman writing in general

• anything pink
• anything pastel except in stationery
• anything kawaii (I do not find it cute, sorry)
• anything Barbie, Disney and other cartoon characters with the exception of Snoopy ;-)
• religious people who try to convert me

But in general, I squee at every letter in my post box.

When I'm doing a swap, I study my partner's profile closely to try and make my creation something that'll delight them. Whether that includes extras or not. ;-)

If you're to send to me in a swap, please know this: The swap item itself is what's most important to me, especially if you incorporated something from my profile in there :~)

For me, the main attraction of swap-bot is getting to know people through their art, their writing, their creations.

That being said, I appreciate handmade items and I adore zines. :-)

Oh, and if anything about me interests you and you think we share a couple of interests or just might click, don't hesitate to contact me. I'm open towards new penpals (though it usually takes me 2-4 weeks to reply). :-)
