My name is Cyndi Garcia. I am a happy crafter from Santa Clarita, CA. Magic Mountain is located in Santa Clarita, for those of you with inquiring minds. I am married and have 3 sons. I am the owner of my own business called "Santa Clarita Craft Lab." I opened my doors July of 2008. I am very excited to be living my dream. I love dolls and I love to collage. I also love to do altered art, such as altered cigar boxes. Working with paper is fun too. I like paper dolls, and card making. I like rubber stamps, and I like the look of powdered embossing. I am loving die cut anything. I love to die cut felt and embellish the die cuts and then use them on other projects. Oh boy I really like it all!

I like pretty paper for collaging and paper crafts. I like any kind of embellishment, like sequins, gems, brads, charms, anything that sparkles. I like bright fabrics, and I like lace, trim, ribbon, felt, buttons, rub-ons, the colors red, tj pink, blue and purple. I love anything Frida. I love all things "Che." I love post cards from far away romantic places. I love all Mexican art, embellishments, and food (especially homemade tamales). I love Mexican sunsets. I love getting things in the mail (even if I ordered them).

...I am hanging out with my kids and/or husband. I home school my 14 year old, and I am a stage mom for my 17 year old actor son. Well I was a stage mom. Now that he's 17 he no longer needs me or my husband on the set with him. Sigh I visit with my parents often, because they are very old and need help. I take my dad to dialysis every Monday, even though they live 90 miles away. I take walks through my neighborhood, and I stop at Starbucks along the way. I blog as often as I can about my business and other related things. I have been known to drop everything, and join in on a peace rally here and there. I do relief work and spent a few months in New Orleans mucking, gutting, tearing down, and rebuilding homes. I have done a lot of traveling with my actor son when he is on location, or when my 14 year old son has a travel ball game out of town (that's why it's called travel ball). I read, visualize, dance, eat out, drink a cold beer on a Friday night, listen to music, shop & smile a lot.
