Update as at 26/09/17 - I'm not doing a lot of swaps outside penpal/book related swaps.
**Please be aware that my swaps can take some time to get to you, particularly if you are in Russia/Asia/Australia/USA. Please message me if you think something is missing.
If I've not rated something, I've not received it. Please message me to check for receipt.**
I love snail mail and have had penpals on and off for 10+ years. I also try to take part in LetterMo and InCoWriMo in February. I love a good RAOK but am crap at mail art.
I love quirky/unusual stationery. Not too keen on Kawaii or florals (a little goes a long way). I love tattoo themes, nautical or just unusual patterns/colours. Always happy to swap stickers and washi samples, although I have way too much washi already.
I run my life through a customised bullet journal system and am a planner newbie but am working on making a functional and pretty planner.
I love a good tea swap. My faves are fruit flavoured teas and infusions, spicy teas like chai. Not keen on herbal, white tea or lapsang souchong. Green teas have to be fruit flavoured.
I'm a voracious reader of almost everything from literary fiction to urban fantasy via social history, politics and poetry. Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, Charles de Lint, Caitlin R Kiernan, Jane Austen, the Brontes...
I love many different artists, a few of whom are list below:
Bowie, NIN, Tori Amos, War Paint, Honeyblood, VNV Nation, Nick Cave, Jane's Addiction, Chvrches, Levellers, Cocteau Twins, Cure, Faun, Dead Can Dance, Garbage, Alice in Chains, Susanne Sundfor, Depeche Mode, Echo and the Bunnymen, Metallica, New Model Army, Smashing Pumpkins...
At the moment I'm mostly knitting and crocheting although I've also tried my hand at spinning, tatting, embroidery, beading, cross stitch, book-binding, soap making.
My mosts coveted yarns are dyed by Countess Ablaze, FluphShop, Alice Yarn. I like striking colourways, sock and 4ply/fingering weight. I've just taken part in my first FibreShare and it was a fantastic experience.
I love to cook, particularly veggie food and baking. Recipes are always welcome.
outdoorsy stuff: skiing, hiking, running (road and trail)
vintage, pin-up style, goth-y alternative, Tim Burton films, black and white stripes, lace, chocolate, buttons, planners, notebooks, silly jokes, beads, acrylic jewellery (Curiology, Chimeric Garnish, Cherry Loco), intersectional feminism, jewel colours, pirates, Moomins, Victorian-style botanical drawings, old maps...
I'm not particularly religious so this kind of theme doesn't really do it for me. Misogyny, racism, homophobia, transphobia.
I am active on:
LetterMo, Sendsomething.net, Ravelry (orangegreen), Instagram (scary_bobbins)
