Hey, I'm Janine. I found out about swap-bot through an awesome friend and thought it was a really cool idea, and being that I love getting mail, thought its the thing for me :)

I'm from the frozen tundra of North America...also known as Canada. I am married and converted my Californian husband into an Amerinadian, he seems to be cool with the adjustment.

I am really into scenery photography, crocheting, video games and watching movies (at home and preferably at the theatre). Being that I love popcorn as much as I do, that and movies seem to go hand in hand so just to satiate having a collecting hobby, I collect movie ticket stubs.

I love the colour Crimson and Blue (not specifically together) and used to have a thing against pinks and purples, although my liking to the crimson brings the best in both together. the dislike for pinks and purples might have stemmed from wanting to be an individual and not liking what everyone else likes (eg girls liking pink and purple)

I may not be the tidiest person around, but when I get tidying there's not much that can stop me...short of lack of clutter/mess. I can always though, in my not-so-tidy moments, find organization around me, especially at work.

I am a Pharmacy Technician and I clean/organize/tidy up after the Pharmacists all day...aside from the regular tasks I have to perform. And after work, all I want to do is come home and check my mailbox and not have to be disappointed.

My favorite is Crocheting. I learned how to knit when I was probably 13 or so, and made dishcloths ...and that was pretty much it. around 20 I learned the very basics for crochet and that lasted about a day and hadn't thought about it in years. I made scarves and dishcloths for years knitting and then my husband asked for a tuque (a beanie for those who are unaware of the awesomeness of a tuque [pronounced: tooq]) Once I started looking at Knit patters for tuques he realized he didn't like any of them and did like the ones that were crochet. so, I had to re-learn to crochet. and its been 100x more rewarding as far as projects I've completed and complexity of the patterns (as compared to what I was doing with knitting)

all in all for crocheting, I've made about 9 tuques 2 scarves, and 2 blankets (in one year...minus summer...couldn't fathom crocheting in the heat)

I love crimson, and blue, and silver. I like fruit flavors and scents. my favorite scent is Vanilla. I have an obsession for pens and pencils and stationary in general. I like things organized and tidy. I love slippers. I enjoy having to assemble things. I like the moon and stars, and enjoy nighttime the most. I love stickers for when I write letters.
