About Me

Having a PO box is great, but I don't check it more than twice a week, if I'm lucky! So if it takes a few days longer for me to rate you, that's why! :)

Hey guys! I'm a very crafty person and my projects can change from day to day.

I love bright colors! Especially green and blue!

I've seen debates running around on the internet about whether or not it's acceptable to repurpose mail art and letters. PLEASE reuse what I send you if you can no longer keep it or at least recycle it :) I clean out my mail art/letter collection every so often and reuse what I can.

Other likes: cats, goats, sand between my toes, the color purple, poetry, the whimsy and the fantastic, forests and trees, plants and flowers, sunflowers, zinnias, marigolds, hunting for pretties at salvation army, teacups and teapots, buddha statues, colorful pressed glass

Favorite Crafts

Mostly here to collage, paint and otherwise craft handmade postcards and mail art! I would love to make a few mail art pen pals :)

Just create things that make you happy and they are bound to beautiful!

Favorite themes

Anything Postal related, Bright colors, Paris, Asian Styles

I know it's not a theme but I love hearing personal stories about you and your hometown.

Favorite Art Styles

love impressionism (think van gough, cezzanne, Mary Cassatt, Monet) I went to Musee D'Orsay and it took my breath away to see Monet's work in person.

I like the rococo style. Its a french style from around the time of Mary Antoinette and the sun king. I love french inspired/styled things especially their traditional and extravagant interiors and furniture. Specifically fauteuil chairs (nerding out)

That being said about fancy furniture. I ADORE antiques. I appreciate old things, even if they're strange, run down or falling apart. Again I am particularly drawn to traditional furniture stuffs, but I seriously love it all. I love going to the thrift stores and buying old dishes for their patterns.

I am also a walking contradiction in that I like modern graphic design too. Simple clean clean lines and minimalism is easy for me to appreciate because I know how hard it can be to achieve.

I LOVE RECYCLING/UPCYCLING. Please share with me if you design anything from what most people consider trash. This is by far one of my favorite creative challenges as a designer.

Also just simply seeing someone reuse an envelope or packaging makes me happy too!

Please do NOT send any kind of extras!! I appreciate the generosity of the swappers I have met here, but I am overwhelmed by them! I am trying to craft my way through an extensive pile :)

baby pink and brown together not a big red or orange person, I like blues greens and purples much better!

Dried flowers or anything like that crafted on to anything, just found an old rolo decomposing that made quite a mess! >_<

My name crafted, pasted, or written on anything

gorey graphic stuff or halloween themed items

cinnamon smell or flavored things, it makes me feel sick. (its ok mixed with other things!)

Autumn/november spice smell that stores usually sell around halloween

obscene nudity (your average nude is fine though haha)

horror themes

Sticky notes or to-do type memo sheets -just don't use them!

Envelopes as extras (I make most of mine!)

paranormal themes are okay(they still creep me out a bit haha, but they can be interesting!)

Friendship books- just not into them, but I will try my best to pass them on if they end up with me

Thanks to @LINBUR0100 and @Littletiscrafty for angeling on Mega christmas card swap

If you notice I haven't rated you please let me know! I tend to rate the day I get a swap, but an occassional one does slip through.

I received a 3 on a swap that I sent out late (and let my partner know it was a family emergency) I even re-sent when it did not reach her. I have contacted her about doing anything to improve the rating but she firmly believes I deserve a 3. Message me if you have concerns.

Comment: Love the card u chose. I miss Dover Delaware fireworks. I remember sitting on the capitol and watching them. I haven't lived in Dover since 1988 but those were my most fave ones I have ever seen. Can't watch them now bc my son cannot handle the booms. All the best and thank u

What a delightful mail art surprise! Thank you so much for sharing your lino cut print with me. I love it! I don't think the brownish effect is bad at all, in fact I really like the way it looks more bright coppery at one angle and a duller greenish brown like old tarnished copper at another angle. Maybe your art will inspire me to do some lino cutting myself. I haven't tried it in decades! Thanks again for your thoughtfulness.
