Hi! I am a 46 yr old mom of three grown kids (Jesse 23, Jeremy 22 and Kaity 18), and I have 6 furbabies, Oreo a tuxedo cat, Pica, Pinto, Patches and Benjamin (all dachshunds), and Spike a HUGE black lab mix. At the time I am at a hiatus in doing much arting or crafting, but I love swap bot, so I still hang around! I am a kindergarten teacher, but am currently not working due to disability. I just discovered the Wishlist group, and instead of swaps, I am finding that granting wishes fulfills my need to visit the PO! I also like to do tags, and RAKs or other groups swaps and 1-1 trades too. I am discovering the wonders of tea, (I seem to have a new passion every month!) I like to try a new flavour every night! Oh, if you remember that I used to like postcards, I am not much into recieving them now, as I have nowhere to put them. But I still like to send them! I would like to start penpalling with people my age also if possible.

I guess you could call me eclectic.. I like easy listening, contemporary, música latina, classical, Broadway show tunes, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's. I can't name particular artists especially of today's music, I just know the melodies!

I am into young adult fiction, themes that range from historical fiction, to post apocaloptic genre. Some of the books I have read recently and liked are The Host, and The Book Thief, and The Kite Runner. I like to read a lot, it just depends on whether the book attracts my attention! I also like art technique books, although I am not doing much art lately. I am getting into books by Kari Smith, I think I have bought them all! I buy most of my books on amazon, because their prices rock!

Right now I am really into the new season of American Idol! I enjoy watching the Discovery Health Channel, National Geographic, and Trutv. I don't watch the news much, most of that I get thru the Internet. I also do not watch "regular" tv much, because I find it mostly very unrealistic.

I go to the movies quite often, recently I have seen Defiance, Milk, and, and The Secret Lives of Bees. I liked these movies all very much.Slumdog Millionaire is my all time favorite at the moment! What a great movie! . I have seen many movies that I like, that I can't them all! Some favorites are: Frida, The Kite Runner, The Sound of Music, August Rush, Across the Universe just to name a few. My taste in movies is much like my taste in books, if it's my attention, I'll watch it! I just watched the Curious Case of Benjamin Button, what an interesting and wonderful movie. If you haven't seen it, you should! Another goodie is Seven Pounds.

The crafts I used to do most were ATCs, altered books, art paper dolls, and chunky books. Right now, the two closest things I am doing to making art is that I have a daily glue book going, and I have been doing a lot of postcard swaps. I am also involved in post crossing, and have participated in travelling journals there. I also like to do some rubber stamping, mostly I collect them! I have literally hundreds of UMs and about a hundred mounted stamps. I don't use them that much, only to do some general stamping on papers just for fun. I also just adore the smell of stamp rubber, LOL! I do make what I call holographic postcards, using a special interference ink on black cardstock. If you are interested in me making you one of these postcards, we can do a private postcard swap. I am currently trying to destash some of my hoarded art papers and other paper arts supplies, and I love doing RAKs and mini RAKs to get rid of what I have. If you would like to do a one on one trade for any art materials, just ask what I have and maybe we can set something up! I also want to make a zine someday, I already have the title of it thought up: The Stamp Slut's Guide to Rubber Wisdom!

My Likes: Spending time with my family and pets, surfing the web, reading, watching movies and television, listening to music, and surfing around swap bot. Any shade of blue is what I like, my favorite color is teal. I am getting especially fond of chatting in the new chat room. Making new friends. Getting HAPPY mail!

My Dislikes: Arrogant stuck up, know it all, unfriendly, judgemental people, racism and bigotry, the smell of cigarettes, loud incessant noise, being over stimulated , being left out of a group, make-up (I don't use it), home decor items

• lip balms in nice flavors except bubblgum and cotton candy
• light fruity, body washes or perfumes
• small nice smelling hand lotion to put in my purse
• I want to try other flavors of Pocky, other than chocolate and strawberry
• gel pens
• dark chocolate
• Small post type earrings
• necklaces
• bath and shower gels, especially sweetpea scent from bath and body works, but any is fine!
• RAK, wishlist and swap cards
• one of those scrubby things like a loofah you use in the shower
• recipes that are simple that I can make for dinner
• a whimsey jar filled with goodies that would make me smile, fun post it's, small erasers, these are just ideas, not special requests, I am easy to please! Just happy stuff
• cute socks (I wear size 9=11 US)
