New update: May 7th, 2013 When it rains, it pours. There have been many things that have changed my life in many ways ~ some good & some bad.but life goes on. Therefore, I am trying to move forward and getting back to the things that I liked to do before.

Update January 20, 2012 -

I haven't been around due personal issues. I would rather not go into detail here - But will give some details -

Depression is a very ugly thing. It is something that is hidden most often. On the outside, I try to smile and move on with life - when on the inside, I am very much alone - Depression takes things away from you-. I have struggled with it for a very long time. * if you feel that you need more info, send me an email and I will do my best to answer your questions.

In an effort to living life and getting back to the things that I love, I am coming back to swapping - Yes - I know that I have outstanding swaps and will be working hard to take care of them. I am not asking for special treatment. I have earned each and every "1" that I have received. I am hoping that I can have a chance to redeem myself, correct my mistakes and fulfill my swaps. I have attempted to notify these people that I owe swaps for - it is now in their hands whether or not, I do so.

Hello - My name is Lora. I am a SAHM of 3 boys. 18, 9, & 5 yrs old. I live in the country just outside our small town of 1400 (pop). My boyfriend and I have been together about 7 years.

I am generally a down to earth person - I love the country life and have always been a country girl at heart. But sometimes, I want to be that total girly girl.

I have so many hobbies and interests -
I love to pen pal, swap fbs, label/sticker bags and other items. Reading, almost any book that holds my interest. I like to do jigsaw, word and number puzzles, and crossword puzzles as well. I love to play card games such as UNO, Rummy 500, and Liverpool. I used to play cribbage - hard trying to find people that still play it. I also belong to an organization called Soldiers' Angels ~an organization that help provide support through letters and care packages.

Even though I have been knitting for 4 yrs now - I sometimes still consider myself a newbie knitter as it is very few and far in between when I can meet someone with more experience to show me the stitches that have me stumped. Otherwise, everything I have learned is by watching videos. In a couple of months, I will be attempting socks. So wish me luck!!

Other things that I like to do are - gardening - vegetable, fruit and flower gardening. Going fishing, hanging outdoors, some hunting.

I have been swapping for a couple of years but due to personal reasons, I had to take a break * see above note.

Romance novels all seem to be the same. - When I was a teen, I used to read these books and dream of prince charming.

Now I will read any book that holds my interest.

My favorite author is Nicholas Sparks.

Of course, some of the old stand bys: MASH, Little House on the Prarie, and Mickey Mouse - Gotta get my Goofy fix.

However, I don't get to watch very many of my favorite shows as I seem to be competeing with the kids for the tv.

My favorite movies are Fireproof, The Notebook, Pay It Forward, 50 First Dates, Letters To God, Time Traveler's Wife, and most Hallmark channel movies.

FBs (N&N - Please! - I received a bunch of papers and sticky notes stapled together and it was called a fbs. Pet peeve!) Granted - I am not very creative but like to put a little effort in my projects.

Bags - all kinds, ESTABLISHED SLAMS, Decos and any of the other things-I will gladly pass them on, but won't make new ones at this time until I feel comfortable with them..

Brandon ~ My oldest son, 18 yrs who graduates this year. He is my special needs child. He has Asperger's & ADHD.

Right now , he is into drawing and photography.

He loves his Gaia -(gift cards are always welcome for this). Arizona tea, Crystal light, Subway - He pretty much likes anything.

He has just got into THE OUTSIDERS and all of the S.E.Hinton books. Child after my own heart - loves to read!

Jaime -9 yrs old

He seems to be my wild child! I think he feels left out sometimes, being the middle child.

Jaime loves to ride his bike, Hotwheels, Thomas the Tank, coloring, fishing, stickers, card games, Legos Sponge Bob, ICarly....There's more but I can't remember them all now.

Loves Candy too! And anything that he doesn't have to share with his brothers.

My youngest - He is just all boy and a terror right now - keeping me on my toes, always getting into something.

Loves Disney channel, Nick Jr, and Nick - Also likes Thomas the tank, Diego, Dora, hot wheels, frogs, bunnies, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, anything that his brothers have..... Likes the treats too -

*Since he has a thing going on for worms right now (Ask me to tell the story about his recent adventures with worms) - Gummy Worms are the best treat! UM maybe not? He will eat those and then think it is ok to eat the "REAL EARTHWORMS" that we have in the garden. Aw - never mind - maybe not! LOL

• Also - to let you know that I am no longer able to drive due to disabilities, I have to rely on other people to get me around.

I live out in the country - & that means RURAL POST - thank goodness, my post office is willing to pick up my things and process them for me. - the benefit of living in a small town. I work very hard to get everything out well before the due date. There have been instances where I have "missed" the mail man -so that means, I either try to get to the PO before it closes (very limited hours) or have to wait until the next day to mail.

My nearest craft store (Michaels) is over an hour away from home and I very rarely get the chance to shop there. I have been looking for places online that I can order from - since I do most of my shopping by mail.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!! If there is ever anything that you just absolutely do not like - let me know and I will send a replacement.
