Hey, my name is Marie and I am 26 years old. I just recently finished Med school and started working as a doctor on an internal ward. I am from the Ruhr-Area in Germany which is all the way in west of the country near the border to the Netherlands. After university I moved back to that area and I am now living in Bochum. I love to send and receive postcards but I also like to receive letters, pictures, little random things. And I love to give other people presents and pick out things for them.

At the moment I am just doing postcard swaps or I'll swap little things like pictures and tea or so because for crafting I need some quiet time that I just don't have at the moment which is really sad because crafting is always relaxing for me :)

But it always cheers me up to come home and open the mailbox to find a letter (not a bill!) or postcards from all over the world! At the moment we haven't gotten any mail in a few days... which is highly frustrating for me ;)

Update on the above: Today was a great mailday with three postcards, 2 photoswaps in great envelopes and one letter from my bank which had good news in it :)

One of my big hobbies is reading though since I started working I am often very tired in the evenings and you can't really enjoy a book if you're too tired to hold it up :) I read a lot of english books because I like to read books in the original language. Here are some of my favorite authors: Carlos Ruiz Zafon, Kate Morton, Tolkin, Marc Haddon... Sometimes I just walk into the bookstore and by a book that is on sale and looks nice... those are sometimes very good books that you find by accident.

I like... books, photography, especially black and white, giraffes on postcards (I'm not so much into stuffed animals anymore), pretty picture frames, nice stationnary, candy, rock music, funny coasters, fruit tee, recipies from all over the world, especially cake/muffin/cupcake recipies, travelling, being outside, New York, San Francisco, National Parks, family ...

Since I (almost) only swap postcards (and photography)... I like every postcard you send me :) I like ad cards, map cards, handmade cards, black-and-white cards, art cards, cards with people on them, cards with food on them...

I am not a big fan of multiview tourist postcards, but anything else is just fine! Just send me something you would like to receive!
