Favorite Music

As for music I like a wide variety including, but not limited to Eels, White Stripes, Islands, Wolf Parade, Beirut, Willie Nelson, Sleater Kinney, Smoosh, Arcade Fire, REM, Okkervil River, Modest Mouse, They Might Be Giants, Radiohead, Mountain Goats, Andrew Bird, TV on the Radio

Favorite Crafts

I quite like items made of paper, metal, leather, felt or any combination of the above. I also like handmade books and making them.

I like the look of things messy and obsessively meticulous. I like letterpress. Like a barracuda, I love shiny things. I like altered things and collages.

Topics/themes/items that frequently appear in crafts i make: I especially love avocados, squirrels, pandas, crabs, cacti, lobsters, velcro, grommets, buttons, mangos, the color spectrum of plums, collage, prints, graphic art, stencils, novelty lamps, cut paper crafts, origami, otters, hedgehogs, hair barrettes, glass, neon colors, black, geometric patterns, semi-precious stones, silver, the grotesque, peanuts, birds.

Favorite Television

I no longer have cable tv, but when I did, which is up until quite recently, I enjoyed Buffy, Project Runway, 30 Rock, Home Movies, Daria, Breaking Bad, Buffy, The Soup, The Office, Adoption Stories, the Simpsons, Small Space Big Style, Rezoned, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Ugly Betty, Arrested Development, Frontline, Battlestar Gallactica, and more. Fortunately, I can find most of these the interweb or dvd these days.

Favorite Movies

Michel Gondry, Hayao Miyazaki, Rene Laloux, Brad Bird, Christopher Guest, Mike Judge, Terry Zwigoff, the Coens and Wes Anderson delight me. Other films I quiet like include Labyrinth, Election, Cruel Intentions, Heathers, Hedwig, Wet Hot American Summer, Three Kings, Empire Records, Edward Scissorhands.

About Me

Um... well... I'm from Florida, but I live in Brooklyn these days. I walk all the time. I adore my friends and my family and spend as much time as possible with them. I enjoy making tiny crafts and over the last few years have been learning how to make things with metal. I might spend too much time thinking about accessories. I eat large amounts of produce. Thursdays are usually my favorite days of the week.

Yay!

Comment: Apologies for the delay in rating. Thanks so much for the package; it was so interesting to see pieces of ephemera from your events in OH, as well as some pieces from our hometown area! I especially REALLY loved the poem you included (for your friends' gift, I suppose) and the variable permutations for the poem's end. Take good care! Best, Ystarr

Comment: Thanks so much for your zine. I love the layout. I've never been very good at tie-dye, even with gloves I always end of dying my fingers :)

Comment: great zine. I think this would be a great camping craft for my nieces and nephews next year:) One question--do you actually put the dye in the water boiler or do the mixing in the bucket? Wouldn't it dye the water boiler? thanks!

Comment: Fortunately, I got your zine today. Unfortunately, the envelope was torn. Fortunately, the zine was still inside. Unfortunately, I don't know if anything else was in there. Fortunately, it doesn't matter because you made an awesome zine! :D
