NOTE: I have received a beautiful postcard from Iowa from a diver without a swap or user name. I don't want to share you name with the public, but if you are expecting a rated card from me send me a message and I'll rate!
I am a 30-something living in the U.S.'s high five. I am currently working as a GIS analyst and loving every minute of it. Maps and data are my jam!
I have always loved postcards and I love the idea of being able to share a little part of my corner of the world with someone else. I would love to learn about yourself and your country. If you wouldn't mind answering these questions on your postcard I would really appreciate it!
-What you are reading right now.
-What your favorite local dish?
-I have become fascinated with the idea of hygge lately, so whatever you do to hygge would be appreciated.
I will really and truly be happy with anything you send me but I can understand people wanting to give a little more personal touch. So I will list a few of my favorite (and not so favorite) things.
-MAPS! (I'm trying to get map cards for all of the states)
-Your favorite place to visit (my boyfriend and I want to travel the world so we need ideas!)
-Something real odd/unique about your city (the crazier the better)
-Something culturally unique (for example, Moomin in Finland)
-Charley Harper, M.C. Escher, Alphonse Mucha, and Albrecht Durer
-Native plants and animals (I love raccoons, dragonflies, otters, owls, pangolins, tigers, toucans, woodpeckers, bears,... not a huge fan of monkeys)
-I am not religious so preferably nothing religious in nature
Send me whatever makes you happy! I’ve yet to see a postcard I haven’t liked!
I love TV! I work a computer job so I'm on the computer a lot with TV in the background. My favorite shows are:
Avatar: The Last Airbender
Rick and Morty
Batman: The Animated Series
Parks and Rec
I haven't been able to do as much reading lately as I would like. But back when I did, I loved:
World War Z
Anything by Jasper Fforde and Bill Bryson
As I've mentioned before, I've recently gotten into comics. I really love anti-hero characters. I just recently fell in love with "Chew" by Rob Guillory and John Layman.
I love podcasts too. Welcome to Night Vale is currently one of my favorites but I am learning about a ton more. Share your favorite podcast with me if you'd like. I'm open to any ideas!
Top 10 movies in no particular order
Mad Max: Fury Road
The Nice Guys
What We Do In the Shadows
Lord of the Rings Trilogy (I consider them one movie in three parts)
Mulan (The live action version)
If you are expecting a postcard from and haven't received. I send my postcards within a day or two of receiving partners. Send me a message and I'll resend.
