I am a full-time college student working on my Bachelors of Social Work. I have a terribly dull day job that requires me to sit and be quiet all day so when not working I love to get out of the house. I love camping and hiking. Also, I like to pretend that I can dance and sometimes I even manage to pull it off.

I seem to particularly like music that is sad or angry although I am generally neither of those things. A few favorites are Fiona Apple, The Cure, The Cardigans, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Love and Rockets, Joy Division, She Wants Revenge, The Raveonettes etc.

I also love love love Doo-Wop music music while driving, cooking or cleaning and hip-hop music for dancing, crafting or doing homework.

Veronica Mars, Dead Like Me and Extras....Is is bad that all of my favorite shows got canceled? Some shows that I like that are still around are MythBusters, Flight of the Conchords, Weeds....and when I need to geek out, So You Think You Can Dance.

I worked in a bookstore for six years, so I like books... a lot. A few of my favorites include Sin by Josephine Heart,Special Topics in Calamity Physics by Marisha Pessl, The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold, The Basic Eight by Daniel Handler, Kitchen by Banana Yoshimoto and anything by Fitzgerald. Francesca Lia Block will always hold a dear place in my heart from my angsty teenage years.

My favorite colors are crimson and cream

My favorite scents are wintergreen, lime, amber and oatmeal...obviously not together :)

I love anything to do with the jazz era especially anything flapperesque or art deco.

I love cute/unique school supplies...I spend all my time in classes so I may as well make it entertaining.

I love to cook and enjoy anything that makes the experience more lively (like shinzi katoh or the animal house line of kitchen accessories) and cute retro inspired aprons.

I'm not a huge fan of Disney related items or anything rose scented.

As far as food related items are concerned, I am a vegan so beef jerky probably isn't the best bet. That being said, my boyfriend is not vegan so if you aren't sure or accidentally send me something I can't eat, I am sure he will happily take it off my hands.
