I'm Vaiolet and I currently live in Australia ^^
I moved here with my wonderful boyfriend Luca on the beginning of January and we're trying to start a new life together, as the one we had back in Italy was really tough.
I am not one of those Italians who are loud and love to party all days of the week. If you're looking for one of them...well that's not me, sorry =)
I'm a happy person, I try to be optimistic everyday though it's very hard sometimes. I don't have many friends but a few close ones which are very important to me.
I've been traveling since I was young and I've seen a lot of places. The last one has been Finland, where I lived for six months. I loved that country, it has taken a piece of my heart.
I love meeting people from other countries, no matter where from. I think that we all have something to learn from each others and I love to share my life with others.
My life is PURPLE.
10 AUGUST 2010 - Due to a bad experience on the forum I'm not going to swap Postcards on Swap Bot anymore. If you want to swap postcards with me, send me a message on Postcrossing or Flickr. I found that some people here are more concerned about the value of the postcard rather than the spirit of swapping items. The postcards I swap are all beautiful and chosen appositely for the person I swap with, I read their profile carefully and write thinking about them. I don't have any requirements for the postcards you can send me, even an ad card with nice words on it is more than welcome. I care more about the person behind the postcard than the actual piece of paper and, as people here feel differently, I don't think it would work.
I give HEARTS based on the quality of the package, not really about extras. If the swap is a good quality one then you know you're going to get a heart. ^_^ If the swap is not a very good quality one but you show effort then you may get a heart as well =)
For EMAIL SWAPS I give hearts usually based on how much you bothered to write, if your answers were complete and if you tried to put a little of yourself in them too!
I have to admit, since moving to Australia I've been a little short on money and I try to save as much as possible. Still, I can't stop swapping so I try and keep the postage costs down with Email Swaps and light packages.
But it doesn't mean that I wouldn't love to private swap with you!
I love private swaps and please, if you think that you'd like to swap with me PM me with your ideas =)
I almost always accept!! ^-^

Languages have always interested me a lot. I can speak English and Italian fluently and I'm studying Finnish (my main focus), Spanish and I hope to start studying Chinese or Japanese soon! I can understand French as well.
So, if you come from a place that speaks either of these languages and have no idea what to send me....cut out an article from you local magazine that you find interesting and mail it to me! Or even a whole magazine if you like =P
I can send you either Italian or Aussie magazines in return ^^
Ok, so here it comes the bad part. I don't particularly enjoy talking about what I don't like because I don't want to sound picky or anything...it just that some people don't really understand the difference between a swappable item and rubbish sometimes =(
I don't like to get things that you wouldn't like to get yourself. If we swap magazines, I expect you to send me a magazine and not a newspaper and all the advertisement you get in the post....this already happened to me once and I wouldn't want it to happen again.
Handmade things ARE MORE THAN WELCOME but remember that handmade doesn't mean ugly, used or thorn things that you don't need anymore. It means something that you made appositely for that particular swap. Something you took your time to create: handmade things are all about showing the artistic part of you, so show me what you can do!
Religious things: I'm not into religion and I don't even like to talk about it that much. I grew up where racism and homofobia are fueled by the church and I've never understood why people who claim to be good are so afraid of whoever is different. So no, I'm not going to change my mind...sorry!
Thorn and Stinky stuff. Once again, you wouldn't like to receive something like that so why would I have to enjoy it?
LUCA ♡ My Boyfriend
Luca is 25 and he's an artist, he's really good at drawing and I wish I could try and introduce him to the wonderful world of ATCs! He likes rock music, The Simpsons, Magic The Gathering, cute things and postcards! He's my life!

Thanks for your profile suggestions...I'm going to switch it up a bit!!!! Yours is very informative and interesting!!
LoL she is starting to look more like me, that's what my husband tells me. That was nice of them to take care of your cats! I wish we could adopt a pet but the house we are renting at wont allow pet's. hopefully when Luz turns 5 we will have already moved to a place that allows pet's. Thank you for the sweet comments!! XD
Ello! I am posting for the "Read my Profile" - It sounds nice being able to start over, I still wish I could visit Italy someday! I'm Hispanic and I still need to work on my Spanish, so its nice to see other people learning diffrant languages. I can speak Spanish, English and a little bit of farci. I am still learning Italian and French, I can read and understand the language but I cant really say the words right. Did you give away your cat's?
Well, heippa! :) Your comment made me smile, so I came and read your profile. You seem like a very nice and interesting girl! How neat that you're studying Finnish ^^
Hello my friend in OZ!! I'm so envious of the fact that you have lived in and experienced life in several countries....how neat!! I don't think I could ever go out of my "safety zone" enough to do that...but I wish I could ;^). Like you, I really like buttons, books, rubber stamps, stationery...and yes, Hellboy!! Now rats....not so much.... ;^P HA!! I'm one of your partners and your host for "Read my Profile"....thanks for joining in with us!! - Bonnie P.
Wow, first comment. :) We both like postcards & Alice in Wonderland! If you'd ever like to swap postcards (I live in the States), please let me know. Btw, I'm your partner for the "Read my profile" swap, please don't forget to rate! Have a great week! :) -Tyffany
