When I told a friend I was so happy about Postcrossing and especially about the Postcrossing-forum, she told me about Swap-bot. I decided to have a look and well, here I am :)
I´m 33, and originally from Nederland, moved to Austria in september 2010 and am now based in Germany, since December 2012. I love snailmail (mostly postcards!), reading, coffee, chocolat, writing, vampires, witches, taking hot baths, running, movies and TV series.
I read a lot - and I can say I like a lot of genres and mean it. I am not too fond about thrillers though. I am also a member of Bookcrossing - but untill now I have not been very lucky where it comes to leaving books for others.
Some of my favourites: - Anita Blake series - Sookie Stackhouse series - Historical fiction - mostly about the Tudors (UK) - A discovery of witches - Isabel Allende - Anne Rice
My favourite artist is Maarten van Roozendaal - a Dutch singer / songwriter. I love the music of Leonard Cohen (seen him perform several times) and Elvis Presley. I also listen to Alan Jackson, the Dixie Chicks, Brel, Type O Negative, The Bosshoss, Nick Cave, Stef Bos (Belgian singer) and Guns ´n Roses.
I am the owner of postcardshop Cardcetera - so I guess it is needless to say that I love postcards - well actually I love fun mail in general. Letters, postcards, enveloppes with small items. I have started penpalling again in October 2010 - when I was younger I used to write a lot of letters as well and now I started again. I do type most of my letters though, as I write really slow and prefer to send longer letters.
As for postcards, I am a fan of Nouvelles Images, Bildreich and Aquarupella cards. I like cards with recipes on them and cards with funny quotes. My favourite card themes are food, drink, reading (book covers!), old movies and writing. I am not too keen on view cards - unless the landscape is really beautiful or if it´s a card from one of the really big cities. In general, I think the backside of a card is as important as the frontside. So if you write something great, the front does not really matter.
When I am in a tea-swap, I prefer black teas. I don´t like Rooibos or herb-teas. I do like black-fruit teas.
I love postcards, stickers, milk chocolat and white chocolat.
