I love sewing (mostly small things/ accessories - i'm too scared to make clothes!), and crochet. I'm attempting to teach myself knitting too, and have been dabbling in embroidery to no great effect so far (backstitch is my friend..).
I love yarn - especially natural fibres but i'm not averse to a bit of acrylic, i use it for amigurumi.
I love the idea of swapping as an antidote/ alternative to shopping - though i will buy the odd thing for swaps, i prefer to make things or redistribute my crafty stashes.
I like sparkly stuff, cute stuff, love amigurumi & weird/ slightly offbeat cute things, but I am not into Disney, or particularly keen on generic cutesy/ princessey type stuff.
I love Japanese fabrics/ designs, Edward Gorey (i have most of the books), 60s and 70s stuff (even the orange and brown swirly floral 'decade that taste forgot' stuff - yes i do!), glass & ceramic beads (i'm attempting to make jewellery at the moment so any stuff for that is good), ooh what else? Sequins, wool felt, acrylic felt, googly eyes, buttons, interesting papers, embroidery floss (esp in interesting colours), fabrics with fruity or vegetabley prints, owls, pussycats, beautiful pea-green boats...
Favourite colours: dark purples, reds, pinks, deep blues and turquoises
I love chocolate (milk or dark), and have a hard time curbing my sweet tooth. I don't like coconut or aniseed/ liquorice flavours AT ALL - but more or less anything else sweety is a good.
My favourite flavours are apple - esp. sour apple, strawberry, vanilla, orange/ mandarin.
I am not allergic to anything yarn-wise.
I am not religious in any way. I'm not easily offended either, but i'd prefer not to receive tons of overtly religious stuff.
