.Hello everyone, I am a 60+ grandmother that was born and raised in Western North Carolina, in Hendersonville. I am a mother of a daughter, 40 and a son who is 42. My daughter lives in Texas and my son lives in Orlando. I have lived in Missouri for 5 years, coming here from Orlando. I love the Ozark Mtns. because they remind me of the Blue Ridge Mtns. where I was a child.

I enjoy Contemporary Christian Music the best, but I listen to 50's-60's music,country, some classical mostly I enjoy Bach;

I have began reading the Christian novels by Dee Henderson I have just recently found a new author that I am reading; she is Joanne Fluke, a murder mystery writer, who includes recipes in the novels..Yum!!! If you like baking cookies, these are the novels to check out...

My Favorite Movie of all time is The Sound of Music, now I am watching movies that are true stories..I love dogs, so the most recent that I have seen is Marley and Me.

I am currently watching the old shows from the 50--60's on the TV Land channel. Most currently, I am watching the reality shows, Survivor,Hell's Kitchen, Amazing Race, and an all time favorite now is 24., looking forward to 24 starting again..

I do enjoy making cards, and at Christmas, I enjoy making ornaments as gifts...I have not excelled in my crafts yet, but it is a great past time for me, as I am currently in retirement...

I love the color green, but do not wear a lot of it...I like writing letters, sending cards,( I also send store brought cards, too,). I like studying the Bible, and learning Bible verses. I like walking on the beach, campfires, going on road trips, being with my daughter and her family, being with my son, I like going to the zoo, and just enjoying God's creations. I like people and finding out all about them. I love Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter. I love football and the Dallas Cowboys. I love the smell of fresh cut grass, after it has rained, I love to eat watermelon, and other fruits. I love helping people by trying to be an encouragement to them.I am also getting into things with cows right now, even if it is printed on an envelope..

My dislikes are very small. I hate snakes, horror movies, Halloween,and most sports.

I love Psalm 91...It is very calming to me when I feel anxious. Also, I use Acts 17:28 every morning. I have also used Psalms 138:8 fro many occasions and as always, the WORD works when you use it in faith.

: I have completed the 50 state map cards collection..Thank you all who have helped me in that big endeavor... .....Please send my card or cards in an envelope, unless the swap is asking for the card or cards to be sent naked. .Please only store bought cards, I appreciate the hard work put into making the handmade PC cards, I am just not a fan of the items for a swap.Also, I am starting to collect Zoo postcards. Right now I have postcards from the Akron zoo,Columbus zoo, Lake Superior zoo Duluth,Central Florida zoo,Cincinnati zoo, and the Tulsa zoo. I would also like these in an envelope, too. . For my international postcard swappers, I would like the following cards if you have them available Music, Cats, The Great Wall of China, cows and postcards of wild animals such as pandas..I have also started liking funny cards with animals talking, only in English if possible. Thank you for your help with any of these.
