About Me

My name is Barb and I am a wife, mother of 2, grandmother of 4, and a retired elementary teacher. My husband and I live in a log house in the woods which we built in 1974.. Country life suits me well. I love chocolate!

Favorite Music

I love to listen to the oldies from the 60's. My radios are all set to the oldies stations. I also enjoy movie and broadway sound tracks. Sometimes, classical is also nice and relaxing.

Favorite Books

I am an avid reader. I enjoy mysteries, suspense, and fictional novels. Some favorite authors include Nelson Demille, Anita Shreve, J.D. Robb, Dana Stabenow, and Jodi Piccoult.

Favorite Movies

I don't watch movies too often, but do have some favorites. I enjoyed On Golden Pond, Grumpy Old Men, The Sound of Music, and Mama Mia.

Favorite Television

If I am watching TV, it is usually, HGTV, Food Network, TLC, or the Travel Channel. I do like the reality shows, Survivor, The Biggest Loser, The Amazing Race, and Big Brother.

Favorite Crafts

Scrapbooking is my absolute favorite craft. I also like to make ATC's, altered books and other altered items. I do a little knitting and some sewing for the grandchildren.

Comment: Thank you for the 2 ATC's . "In the Newspaper" was very creative. and the Fall one was very nice. Also I liked the stamp you put on the envelope, where did you get it?
Response: If it is the stamp that says, "Art is not a thing, it is a way", I got it at a shop in St. Marys, GA several years ago. It is Invoke Arts so check out invokearts.com. Hope this info helps. Barb
