About Me

My name is Barb and I am a wife, mother of 2, grandmother of 4, and a retired elementary teacher. My husband and I live in a log house in the woods which we built in 1974.. Country life suits me well. I love chocolate!

Favorite Music

I love to listen to the oldies from the 60's. My radios are all set to the oldies stations. I also enjoy movie and broadway sound tracks. Sometimes, classical is also nice and relaxing.

Favorite Books

I am an avid reader. I enjoy mysteries, suspense, and fictional novels. Some favorite authors include Nelson Demille, Anita Shreve, J.D. Robb, Dana Stabenow, and Jodi Piccoult. Recently discovered author Nevada Barr and love her mysteries.

Favorite Movies

I don't watch movies too often, but do have some favorites. I enjoyed On Golden Pond, Grumpy Old Men, The Sound of Music, and Mama Mia.

Favorite Television

If I am watching TV, it is usually, HGTV, Food Network, TLC, or the Travel Channel. I do like the reality shows, Survivor, The Biggest Loser, The Amazing Race, and Big Brother.

Favorite Crafts

Scrapbooking is my absolute favorite craft. I also like to make ATC's, altered books and other altered items. I do a little knitting and some sewing for the grandchildren.
