Merry Christmas and Happy Hannukwanzmas! This is a very busy time of year in which I have decided to take the entire month to reflect on all the blessings of the past year and write them down to remember. And also to remember the challenges and hurts of the past year, write them down, forgive and let go of the ones that are still not dealt with and then burn in the fireplace or shred them all to do a sort of "cleansing" of the past year to prepare the new year for 365 days of wonderful blessings and potential opportunities! Do you have an end of year ritual to prepare for the coming new year?

INTRODUCTION

I basically am an all around crafty kind of gal. My current job is full time caregiver (I'm a SAHDaughter) to my father (he had a stroke last year). I LOVE vintage domestics and fabrics...especially from the 30's - 50's. Life is chaotic so I communicate in bullet points...it helps me remember everything and not confuse the communication too much! LOL

Things I love

I love all colors, but am especially drawn to greens, pinks, yellows and oranges. I love Blythe and Pullip dolls....I have a 6lb Pomeranian and a 12lb Birman cat with an intense love/hate thing going on. I love anything domestic vintage...30's, 40's and 50's....I have an embarrassing fabric obsession and am looking for swaps to give some of my vintage thrift finds away to. I can find the beauty and fun funky in just about anything....so I like everything...as long as I can alter to enhance my vision for said object. :)

Favorite Crafts

crocheting, quilting, sewing, paper crafts, flamework (glass bead making), jewelry design....basically anything...

Favorite Television

Grey's Anatomy, Ugly Betty, Biggest Loser, The 4400 (trying to persuade the network to bring the show back!) sci-fi like Stargate Atlantis, SG-1, Dead Like Me, Friends, Two and a Half Men....

Favorite Movies

chick flicks and drama. cannot handle horror or too much suspense...makes me hyperventilate....

Favorite Music

40's swing, Inspirational, Pop, rock, a little Blue eyes, Ella, jazz and blues, basically anything with good lyrics and melody. Not into heavy metal or music that is bass heavy :)

Favorite Books

Basically any craft book I can get my hands on, how-to books, cookbooks, vintage screenplays, vintage picture books....childrens, botanicals, animals, etc.

Comment: Absolutely beautiful! And it's my favorite pattern. I use a very similar patter and love the shape for the vary reasons you wrote about! The sugar is perfect timing. I just used the last of my vanilla sugar and had just put vanilla beans on my shopping list! The potholder and towel are nice too. They match my mom's kitchen so I'm going to pass them on to here. Thanks for all the hard work and care to make such a nice swap! It's swappers like you that make me continue to enjoy swap-bot!
