INTRODUCTION

I basically am an all around crafty kind of gal. My current job is full time caregiver (I'm a SAHDaughter) to my father (he had a stroke last year). I LOVE vintage domestics and fabrics...especially from the 30's - 50's. Life is chaotic so I communicate in bullet points...it helps me remember everything and not confuse the communication too much, but can't figure out how to do the html for bullets here! LOL

Things I love

I love all colors, but am especially drawn to greens, pinks, yellows and oranges. I have a 6lb Pomeranian and a 12lb Birman cat with an intense love/hate thing going on. I love anything domestic vintage...30's, 40's and 50's....I have an embarrassing fabric obsession and am looking for swaps to give some of my vintage thrift finds away to. I can find the beauty and fun funky in just about anything....so I like everything...as long as I can alter to enhance my vision for said object. :)

Favorite Crafts

crocheting, quilting, sewing, paper crafts, flamework (glass bead making), jewelry design....basically anything...

Favorite Television

Biggest Loser, sci-fi like Stargate Atlantis, SG-1, Monk, the History Channel, TLC, HGTV and the CSI's

Favorite Movies

chick flicks and drama. cannot handle horror or too much suspense...makes me hyperventilate....

Favorite Music

40's swing, Inspirational, Pop, rock, a little Blue eyes, Ella, jazz and blues, basically anything with good lyrics and melody. Not into heavy metal or music that is bass heavy :)

Favorite Books

Basically any craft book I can get my hands on, how-to books, cookbooks, vintage screenplays, vintage picture books....childrens, botanicals, animals, etc.

NOVEMBER 2009

it's been awhile, but the respite/sabbatical was well worth it! i'm ready to get back into the saddle of swapping...after all, November through January 1st is my favorite time of year! i will be pacing myself this time around so i don't get burned out like i did before. you know, balance...such as i want to buy the 18lb turkey, but my roommate keeps telling me to get the 12lb since it's only 4 of us in the house....so i concede to balance and get the 12lb. there will still be plenty of leftovers. some habits are hard to break....but when taken day by day, it's not as bad as it first seems. :) Happy FALL and THANKSGIVING!!!

Response: your dotee was very lovely! i think the more you play and practice, the more creativity comes about. there are no rules....each person's dotee dolls are definitely different and representative of their personal artistic styles. i had alot of fun swapping with you! let me know if you want to do another. :)

I did get the profile surprise -- thank you so much! I haven't been on the computer much since I got home from the hospital a week ago; still a lot of pain but getting better day by day.
