===================================
DAMAGE CONTROL It's been a ridiculous few weeks. I haven't been able to get swaps out. This is what I'll be doing tomorrow. Feel free to give a crap rating, I do deserve it. I'm not going to beg for a good rating when I've been late. It's my fault.
I will be sending profile surprises to everyone I owe a swap to (along with the specific swap I was supposed to send). Sorry guys.
===================================
I'm an alternative parent, so to speak. I have dreadlocks, stretched earlobes & some tattoos. I'll be taking business courses in September. Reading is my forté & I've been penpaling for years. I'm levelheaded & openminded. I despise blatant stupidity.
I'm Native Canadian (cree heritage). I tend to make dreamcatchers (usually out of natural materials), beaded necklaces, key chains, moccasins (and other sewing crafts), blankets, etc. I can speak my language (passably), and I know my history/culture. I'm interested in learning about other cultures, and if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask. No question is "dumb".
Repo! The Genetic Opera, 12 Monkeys, Boondock Saints, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Suicide Club, Fight Club, Casino, Scarface, Godfather films, Memento, Magnolia, Velvet Goldmine, Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness, Smokin' Aces, Monty Python, May, Teeth, ALL zombie films, Domino, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Trainspotting, Wrist Cutters: A Love Story, Poolhall Junkies, Love In The Time Of Cholera, Atonement.
Industrial. Drum & Bass. Hardstyle. Rock. Nu Metal. Experimental.
How about authors? Audrey Niffenegger, C.S. Lewis, Carl Sagan, Chuck Palahniuk, Clive Barker, Dan Brown, Douglas Adams, Edgar Allen Poe, Ernest Hemingway, Franz Kafka, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, George Orwell, Harper Lee, Homer, HP Lovecraft, Hunter S. Thompson, Issac Asimov, Jack Kerouac, Jane Austin, John Steinbeck, Kurt Vonnegut Jr., Mario Puzo, Michael Crighton, Michael Palmer, Neil Gaiman, Orson Scott Card, Thomas Harris, Virginia Woolf, William S. Burroughs, William Shakespeare, just to name a few. I'm a literary wh_re. I read anything, even the back of the cereal box when I eat breakfast.
I love teas, body jewelry, yarn, books, dread beads, stationery, stickers, slams, shampoos/lotions, postcards, photos, purses/handbags, all homemade trinkets, anything my daughter makes at daycare. :)
I absolutely LOVE anything with octopi or squids on them. I collect all vintage items. I love photos or postcards of abandoned buildings (see my "Postcards" heading).
I love making jewelry. If someone makes me any (read:swap), please no earrings. My lobes are quite a bit larger than standard size. :)
I love swapping (naked) postcards, individually packaged tea, slams, profile surprises, mix tapes, mix CDs, plugs/earrings/earskins/eyelets, dread-beads, DVDs (used/unscratched, burnt or new), candies, vintage photos, stationery, pins, yarn or hemp, recipes, flavored coffees, chocolate covered espresso beans, filled 35 mm cameras (I did a swap like that once. Spent a couple dollars to get it developed, it was like getting a ton of new postcards. Heh) & ANYTHING homemade.
I'm probably the easiest person to please, and I tend to have a lot of fun compiling packages or personalizing postcards.
I'm an avid PC collector. Postcards I love to swap/recieve:
Local/tourist, Antique/vintage, Black and white (or sepia), Black and white with one or two bold colors, Interesting/obscure (staircases, abandoned buildings, doors, hoax/legends, cemetaries, churches, etc), Rain/umbrellas/clouds+rainbows, Windmills, Bicycles, People, Books/libraries, Cultural, Tea/coffee, Disney/hello kitty/sanrio (my daughter loves 'em), And so on!
If you want to make a homemade card (ala postsecret), that would be absolutely fantastic!
I prefer the cards to be written on & stamped. :)
Not a fan of ad-cards.
