About Me

I am married with 4 grown up sons and 1 grown up daughter and 8 grandchildren. I have my own home based business selling on ebay. I also sell crafts online and on my craft market stall giving profits to favourite charities. I was born in England and emigrated to Australia in 1981. In my time I have been a librarian, youth worker, administrator and charity shop manager. I was brought up in a Christian home and have a strong faith in God. It delights me to see all 5 of my children following the same path and being active in their churches. I have a kind and gentle husband who cares for me when depression hits and tries to keep me in line when I am whirling around in a frenzy on the good days! My beautiful dog, Ollie, is an English cocker spaniel - he's loving and protective and funny all at the same time.

Favorite Crafts

I have been Cardmaking since I was young, selling for the past 10 years. I especially love collage work and am hoping to transform the 'office' into my studio. I share this room with my youngest son and his business so it will have to wait till he moves out of home. Ilearnt to knit when my eldest was born, teaching myself after my poor Mum gave up on me! I have knitted many baby clothes in my time and now concentrate on hats,, scarves and blankets all for those who need them more than me. I've also started knitting dishcloths - would never go back to using throwaways. All my 'girls' are getting them at Christmas! Unfortunately we don't have the lovely sugar n spice yarn in Australia so I get it from USA. I have done many cross stitches in my time - some to sell and many of my family have a sampler or picture I've done for them. Don't do quite so much these days. I love hand sewing but am yet to master a sewing machine - My friend is about to give me lessons and then there will be no stopping me :). I love all kinds of papercraft and gift wrapping and love putting gift parcels together. I don't scrapbook but am just getting into journalling.

I Love

Vintage; 1950's; Shabby Chic; Tea; England; Pretty crockery/china; Ribbon; Lace; Vintage sewing things; Pink; Green; Lavender; White; all pastel colours. Cake; Family; Fabric and Knitting Yarn; Roses; Sweet Peas; Violets; Pansies; Stationery; Christmas; Soap, Polka Dots, Snowmen (I collect them); Sweet vintage hankies. Gift Wrapping and Parcels! Craft magazines, Shabby chic magazines, Martha Stewart etc. (But please no scrapbooking magazines as I don't scrapbook - but love other papercraft). Stampington - ooh lovely. I am a 'people' person rather than an 'animal' person

I don't like

Witches, wizards, halloween, skulls, skeletons, unicorns, fantasy etc (anything from the 'dark side'); Oriental design. I am not a 'cat' person nor am I keen on any animal other than dogs. I particularly dislike mice. Butterflies are not a favourite decor for me although I do use them in my craft work sometimes. I do not drive nor do I have any desire to do so and get aggravated when people continually ask me! I also get peeved when my name is spelt wrong - it is Jennie with an 'ie'!! Bad Language; Anime or Kawaii; feathers. Although I like Avon cosmetics, I am an Avon Lady 'ding ding' so please no Avon products. I am not interested in postcards.

Favorite Music

Blues; Soul; Rock; World; Classical; Some Metal; but sorry, definitely not Country!

Favorite Books

I enjoy many genres but especially classics and non fiction.

Comment: Jennie- Your ATCs are BEAUTIFUL! You did such a great job! Thank you for even sending me your favorite one. Do you want me to scan it and send you a copy, so you can sort of keep it? =) I was almost a marine biologist so I adore the "Ocean World" card too. Awesome job, and I'm so glad you're enjoying making ATCs!
Response: Thank you for your kind words - I took photos of them so I can keep track of my creations :) Glad I chose an appropriate theme.
