I'm Back! After a year away from the 'bot I am back to have fun. As I hit 60 last year, I spent some time reflecting on my life's journey so far and what I hoped for my future. In response to that I had the biggest de-clutter so far and my house is now easy to manage, fresh and pretty, with a simple decor. I also decluttered my craft and am concentrating on just 2 crafts - Knitting and ATC's. Not to say I won't do anything else but this is what gives me the most pleasure. Finally I de-cluttered my mind and try to live a simple, eco-conscious life style. I have found it enormously satisfying so far.
So ..... I am married with 4 grown up sons and 1 grown up daughter and 8 grandchildren. I was born in England and emigrated to Australia in 1981. In my time I have been a librarian, youth worker, administrator and charity shop manager. I have a kind and gentle husband who I married 25 years ago - we celebrate our Silver Wedding on July 26th this year! My beautiful dog, Ollie, is an English Cocker Spaniel - he's loving and protective and funny all at the same time.
I have been Cardmaking since I was young, selling for the past 10 + years. I think I was born with a pair of scissors in my hand. I especially love collage work. I learnt to knit when my eldest was born, teaching myself after my poor Mum gave up on me! I have knitted many baby clothes in my time but now concentrate on hats, scarves and blankets for those who need them more than me. I've also started knitting dishcloths - would never go back to using throwaways. All my 'girls' get them at Christmas! Unfortunately we don't have the lovely sugar n cream yarn in Australia so I get it from USA. I have done many cross stitches in my time - some to sell and many of my family have a sampler or picture I've done for them but I don't enjoy it so much these days. I love all kinds of papercraft and gift wrapping and love putting gift parcels together. I don't scrapbook but am an avid journaller. I also learnt about ATC's here on the 'bot and am now obsessed with them!
Vintage; 1950's; Shabby Chic; Tea; England; Ribbon; Lace; Cake; Family; Lily Sugar n' Cream Cotton Yarn; Roses; Sweet Peas; Violets; Pansies; Stationery; Christmas; Soap, Polka Dots. Gift Wrapping and Parcels! Craft magazines, Shabby chic magazines, Martha Stewart etc. (But please no scrapbooking magazines as I don't scrapbook - but love other papercraft) I am a 'people' person rather than an 'animal' person
My favourite colours are: Vintage pink and baby blue together; orange; lavender; any pastel greens or blues; pink & white together; purple & gold together; red and white together; all shades of white, cream and taupe.
I sell ATC blanks on eBay so please don't send me any!
I do not drive nor do I have any desire to do so and get aggravated when people continually ask me! I also get peeved when my name is spelt wrong - it is Jennie with an 'ie'!! I hate Bad Language, but my biggest hate of all is 'Man's Inhumanity to Man'
Blues; Soul; Rock; World; Classical; Some Metal; but sorry, definitely not Country!
I enjoy many genres but especially classics and non fiction.
Please note that, as I live in Australia, quarantine rules have to be strictly adhered to - they are very strict and remove anything that does not comply. So please no:
These are NOT MY rules - but I don't want any of your carefully selected swaps being rejected by the Customs department.
Anyone interested in a personal swap from Australia in exchange for Composition books, Carol's Rose Garden stationery and Sugar n Cream Yarn please message me!
You are all amazing!

You have very PRETTY ATCs on your flickr!!
Thanks so much for my lovely dishtowel! I love the colours. Much thicker than I expected, I'm definitely going to have a go at knitting my own. Thanks again, you're really wonderful.
Hi Jennie, I have posted the Not Crappy Tag today. Hope you think its 'not crappy ' LOL
Hugs Mappy xx
Thanks Jennie for the Not Crappy Tag. The weather should be perfect here when you come in December. It is FINALLY starting to warm up after a long freezing winter. We moved here from NSW in 2003 and love it, though it is a bit boring at times but I'll take that over the Sydney traffic anyday!
Not a problem, so glad you liked them! & thanks for letting me save money on postage :)
Thank you for the letter. I'm so happy for you that both your boys are doing so well with the things they love. You obviously did a good job Momma! Fingers crossed our puppet show does well too!
Take good care Danielle
Hi Jennie,
Ashley received his parcel today- he was so excited and made his Lego man straight away. He has added it to his other Lego. Thank you so much!
