Update 11/4/2010 I am back from my swap-bot break. I took the last 7 months off. So my changes in life. My Mother, who has Alzheimer's moved into a very nice Memory Care. I took care of her for almost 5 years so I had to learn how to live again. I went back to work full time. Luckily I have a great employer that stuck with me though this. My husband has been laid off twice. He first lost his job in November 2008 and than I did get a job for about a year and now he is laid off again. His unemployment is half of what it was last time because his last job was just part time. I work in the credit industry trying to help people save there homes. It is really hard because you hear all the sad stories everyday. That is why I love swap bot. It is a little twist of happiness in a world that is just getting sadder and sadder every day.

I live in the Northwest United States (On the border of Oregon and Washington). I am a mother of two wonderful girls and a grandmother of two adorable little girls.

When it comes to postcard swaps I love anything. I like the homemade cards and the store bought cards. My favorite is when someone writes a personal message to me because it tells me you took the time to look at my profile. To me that deserves a heart. I really love postcards from places you have been. You tend to tell more about the place than someone who lives there. Every card I receive I scan and put in my iphoto. This way I can try to make sure I do not send the same card twice plus I can enjoy all the wonderful cards I have received. I did get myself an album to put all my cards in. I just haven't started that process yet.

I am very interested in geneology.

My husband and I have a large collection of shot glasses from all over, mostly the US.

I am not the most artistic person in the world. I will try my best.
I love rubber stamping but I am not that good at it. I love to sit around the table and make postcards and cards with my Granddaughter who is 5 years old. Even the 2 year old will sit and color. The 5 year old started Kindergarden this year. I love candles. I can burn them everyday, all day long. There are no smells I am really opposed to.
I do not drink Coffee or Tea, but I do love Hot Chocolate.

When I am able to watch TV I like to watch things like: •CSI •Law and Order •ER (very sad it is over) Grey's Anatomy Private Practice.

I like to many shows and my poor DVR is so full since I rarely take the time to watch TV

I have two Granddaughters. Addison is 5 years old and Jenna is 2 1/2 Months old. Addison loves to color and Paint. She likes to play dress up. She is a cute little Red head. She is a girly girl. She goes to Kindergarden and just loves it. Addison loves the Good Night Show on PBS or Sprout. And of course Dora. Now that I have down a few kids swaps she loves mail. When she see's me with mail she wants to know if it is for her. I always take her shopping when we do kid swaps so she can pick out what we send. She gets very excited. She does think everything we send is for a little girl even if it is not. I think it is because she doesn't have a brother.

Jenna likes to take toys from her sister and run away. She thinks that is funny. :) She is still a baby so it is still hard to say what her likes and dislikes are. She does like to cuddle with Blankets and she loves baby dolls. She has one that cry's and every time it cry's she will give it kisses and hugs. She is not allowed to have any writing apparatus. She will not confine her coloring to just paper. It might be because I painted them a chalkboard wall so she thinks it is OK. I am a bad Grandma......

I am not including Jenna in the children's swaps since she is so young. I have been teaching Addison how to use rubber stamps.She loves snowman. Frosty is her favorite show. All swaps that I sign up for her can be address to her at my address. I see her almost everyday.

I have a wonderful Husband, Mike, who is a professional Chef. Out of work but he can cook for me anytime! He is a Raiders fan and loves to watch and play Golf.
He loves to do crossword puzzles. If you get your local paper and you do not do the crossword that would be a great extra for me to pass on to him.

My husband collectes Shot glasses and paper money from other countries. I love post cards from all over. It a good way to travel without have to leave the house.

I think non raters are just as bad as flakers. I really do not like it when you send a PM to someone since they did not rate you and they read the message and still no response.
