I live in Bolton, UK, home of the Knitting Noras, the best group of knitting friends anyone could possibly have!

I love art of all kinds, Edward Gorey, Chandeliers, yoga, anything Japanese - especially fabric and kokeshi dolls, playmobil animals and plants, food - especially Indian and Mexican food and chocolate.

Some more of my favourite things are: anything pink, pale green, silver or purple, cake, roses, jasmine and lillies, cats, birds - especially peacocks, dachshunds, bats, horsesand unicorns, red wine, the smell of cut grass, day trips to the city or country, flea markets, junk/vintage shops and car boot sales, anything from the 1950s and 1970s, cheesy vintage knitting patterns, old cookery books.

I love all kinds of music. My current favourite bands/artists are Tom Waits, Tinariwen, Calla and Calexico. But I do also like bands/artists whose names don't begin with T or C!

At the moment I'm enjoying the Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer. I read a wide range of stuff though, anything from the classics to modern fiction, though I'm not a fan of "chick lit"

Heroes (when I can be bothered)

Knitting, cross stitch, making jewellery, ATCs, renovating my dolls house, learning to sew, gardening, decorating. I'm currently learning to crochet.

My favourite craft supplies are vintage buttons and beads, yarn of all kinds, fabric - especially Japanese, ribbon with unusual patterns, vintage images and old photos.

I don't like cars, reality tv, dotee dolls, cauliflower, milk, tracksuits (especially shiny ones), sports, R&B music, cottage gardens, snakes, chick flicks or chick lit.

Please do not include any religious tracts or political items in swaps (but I'm happy to receive religious images, charms etc). And no clowns or monkeys please. Absolutely no clowns or monkeys. I can't stand them. Or snakes or skulls. And nothing yellow.

No edibles please - I'm currently dealing with trying to sort out some allergies. And no tea, coffee or hot chocolate - I don't drink them.
