I'm a writer, I live way up North and I love crafting. Currently taking a knitting class with my mom ;-)
My favorite crafts are: jewelry making, papercrafting including but not limited to scrapbooking, and folded paper crafts, crochet and I'm learning to knit, I teach a lot of kids crafts, and I like to journal.

Dislike: - Candy or food items, I'm diabetic and celiac, I can't eat it
Favorite Colors
I am a person of matched colors, I like black, gray and white together, but don't really like those colors by themselves. Really into patterns and cool combos.

About Fabric and Quilt Swaps
I'm new to quilting this year and I am in learning and having fun mode. I am interested in swaps that will help in both of those cases ;) I want to learn about fabrics and see as much as I can see. I'm signed up for some online classes and my mother has been an avid quilter most of my life - it's great to have this type of re-enforcement!
While I'm new to quilting, I'm not new to sewing. I made all of my bridesmaid dresses - 7! - for my wedding. My first sewing class was when I was 14 and I made hospital curtains as a job in the summers during high school and college.
I think my new found interest in quilting is because of the machine quilting ability there is today - I dislike hand sewing and it put me off in years past.

My Family
I have a wonderful husband and three beautiful and smart daughters. One is already out of the house and graduated from college. We miss her at home, but are very proud of her. Our youngest child was a surprise blessing and she is only in 5th grade ;)

Favorite Books
As a writer - who actually gets paid to write - I love reading.
My favorite books are thriller or romance, or both if I can get it. I read Koontz, King, Roberts, among the many other authors I love.
