If anyone is interested in why I left swap bot you can check out my 1 star review...To all the rest of you, thank you! November 10 update My sweet little kitty has developed health issues which resulted in a lot of extra care and some very expensive vet bills. Until things settle down I'm going to have to leave swap-bot for a while. I am working on sending out my last few swaps this week and hope to be back soon! Thank you for being such a wonderful, supportive group, and for all the happy mail sent my way over the past year 😠Happy swapping!!!
I am so excited to have found this site and I can't wait to swap fun stuff with you!!!
I live in London, ON, Canada with my partner of 14 years and my 2 orange kitties, Hazard and Mulligan. I love to cook and try new foods and there is very little that I don't like with the exception of cilantro (which tastes like soap). Also, I am allergic to dairy :(. I will read just about anything I can get my hands on but I really enjoy historical and paranormal romance, graphic novels, fantasy and science fiction. Some of my favourite authors are Douglas Adams, Amanda Quick and Ray Bradbury.
I enjoy many crafts including knitting, crocheting, sewing and scrapbooking. I really like vintage items and images and have recently discovered how to make junk journals and altered books using old books. This newfound hobby led me to this site in the hopes of swapping for some interesting and unique items to add to my homemade journals. Anything goes really but I like all things halloween, steampunk, Alice in Wonderland, zentangles, and homemade. I hate buying things that I can learn to make myself (but don't worry, I'll only send you homemade things if you like them too :).
I like to kayak, hike, garden and love being outside in almost all kinds of weather.
**A note about shipping: Because Canada Post has been known to be slow I will always try to send your swap as soon as possible after receiving your address. Handmade items may take all the time I'm allowed (up to and including the final day but never beyond!) for inspiration to strike though 😊. Just know that I will put a lot of thought into making it something I think you'll love â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸ And I hope it'll be worth the wait. As with most people I will mark it as sent when I drop it off at the post office or in the postbox but it won't be post-marked until the next business day if I arrive past the postal cut off time (or in many cases, not at all - most of my Canadian mail comes either untouched or with the stamp scribbled on in pen 😳). If you don't receive it within a reasonable (international) time, please let me know and I will be happy to resend :)
***Feel free to package swaps together if you have me for more than 1 swap at the same time. As long as it's clear which swap is which, if you can save on postage costs please do!!!

Children's fantasy: Alice in Wonderland, The Wizard of Oz, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Once and Future King, The Prydain Chronicles, Harry Potter, fairy tales of all types :)
Once Upon a Time
How I Met Your Mother
Junk Journals/Altered Books
Beading - although I used to make jewelry, now I mostly just make decorative zipper charms for my sister's sewn creations (wallets, pouches, etc.)
Sea Creatures, especially octopuses ðŸ™
Neon colours/most things 80's
Religious messages/images (sorry - no offense meant to those that like them!)
"Girly" images - high heels, lipstick, etc unless they are vintage or of the 50's pin-up variety
Although I'd be happy with just about anything, a few items I would love to receive are:
Washi tape - I have a very small collection and would love to add to it. No size is too small! Even a few inches used on an envelope is saved/added to my junk journals.
Stamps - of either the postage or scrapbook images variety. For stamped images: I don't care what kind of ink it was stamped with and am ok with any colours - I like variety. For postage stamps: I don't "collect" them, I just really like them. I don't care if they're perfect - they can be bent, torn, on paper, off, heavily post marked, whatever. I'm just using them for crafting and I think all these things add character!
Punched or die cut items - out of scrapbook paper, book pages, old maps, anything really.
Everything mushroom!!! I â¤ï¸ ðŸ„
Items from your hometown/country - ie postcards**, recipes, stamps, dairy-free candy. Part of the reason I'm here is to experience a little bit of the rest of the world, whether through craft supplies, pictures on postcards, or favourite recipes. I studied Foods and Nutrition in school and one of my favourite classes was Food and Culture where for each lab we would choose a culture and create a potluck of dishes to try ðŸ”🌮ðŸðŸ±ðŸ¥ðŸ£â˜•ï¸ðŸ½. Best lab ever!!! Definitely beat organic chemistry 😂
Any ephemera, doilies (paper or crochet), tags, ribbon, lace, beads, different paper clips, etc for embellishments; Graphic 45 and October Afternoon are particular favourites for scrapbook papers.Tim Holtz is also usually good - I love grungy, steampunk or mixed media type of papers but also love to be taken out of my comfort zone and find uses for things I don't usually use.
Paper napkins/tissue paper with interesting designs or various images for decoupage - vintage fashion, pretty flowers, etc. If sending napkins, feel free to peel away the blank layers and just send the printed ply to save on postage. I usually only use the blank layers as actual napkins anyway 😉
Playing cards with designs/pictures on either side; new or vintage - I love them all.
I enjoy coffee (sometimes flavoured but always black and unsweetened) and most teas, especially Earl Grey and English Breakfast. I prefer my chocolate dark and smooth (but it has to be dairy free - that means whey, modified milk ingredients, etc).
Also, as a special request, my partner collects craft beer coasters - the compressed paper ones like they use in bars - and would be super excited to get one of your local brews ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
**I'd prefer my postcards naked - my favourite part is the message! But, that being said, I'd take a blank one too :)
