I love anything vintage. I collect sweet little birds and their little nesty things. My favorite color is robin's egg blue. A whole palette of beautiful hues of blue makes me quite happy. I find it so serene. I also like blue with brown and pink with brown as far as colors go. I have an affinity for textiles and ephemera. I collect postcards (love vintage especially, or retro). I love to cook and am forever trying out new recipes. I love vintage cookbooks. I wish I had more time to travel. I dream of living in Vermont and wish I had a green mountain view. I like to write and have fun with language. I am a big fan of puns. Laughter is my greatest pleasure in life. I am a packrat who hopes to become a minimalist one day. Other things I like: zinnias & hydrangeas, vintage seed packets, anthropomorphic creatures, anything with great sculptural lines, found objects, handmade items, vintage sewing patterns, stickers and stationary, collages, paper crafts, repurposing items, thrift shopping etc. You can check out my blog to learn more about me, just use the link above to get there...

p.p.s My mom who is in the end stages of lung cancer had to be transported from in home hospice care to an inpatient hospice facility July 30, 2009. I apologize that this has gotten me a little off schedule in my swaps, both that I am hosting and participating in. I am trying my best to play catch up, but as mom is in her very final days, I may continue to be a little behind as life is quite difficult for me right now. I am terribly saddened and having a hard time coping with the potential loss. I have 3 children (2 toddlers and 1 barely teenager), a husband who is currently working 80+ hours a week and am an only child, so am extremely active in mom's care alongside my father, whom I am trying best to provide the utmost support to. We are keeping a vigil at this time and I have not been near a computer much whatsoever so I sincerely apologize for my oversights. Thank you for your patience. I pledge to honor all my swap commitments and am canceling myself out of any that I can, that have not already been assigned, so as to prevent any disappointment due to belatedness on my part.

Update, my beloved Mom passed away 8/8/09. I am still playing catch up and am sorry for my delay. Thank you for your continued patience at this very difficult time.

60s 70s & 80s music mostly, but not stuck in a time warp...I do like "things moderne"! My favorite bands are The Smiths, The Pixies, Beastie Boys, The Ramones, Beck, The Police & Led Zeppelin. I really love Jazz through & through. I don't think I've ever met a jazz song I didn't like.

Runs the gamut from Woody Allen films to Napoleon Dynamite. Sixteen Candles is possibly my favorite movie, still. And I am 37 years old. Go figure.

The Office, Project Runway, PBS Cooking shows, Antiques Roadshow, The Chapelle Show...I really don't watch that much tv, so these are what I watch when I do.

I'll try anything once...so my favorites are constantly changing. I guess I like recycling, sewing, paper crafts, collage and anything with felt best.
