I'm a laid back, type of girl who grew up in the middle of three corn fields and a woods. I love to travel, go fishing and to football games, and I love spending time with family and friends.
I am currently going back to school for my Bachelors in Art Education, but I do already have my degree in Interior Design with a Marketing Minor. I love my art classes, especially my cermaics and metalsmithing classes. I've just started a photography class, and if anyone would like to swap ideas/suggestions on subject matter for any sort of a project, I'd most definitely would love to share, and not just for photography, but also for any sort of art anything whether it's for a drawing, photograph, sculpture (cermaics or other forms of sculpture), etc.
I'm very much a independent, self reliant type of person, but I do love spending time with the boyfriend when our schedules allow it...I also have a cat (Ozcar), and a black goldfish (Waskly Wabbit) who are very much a part of my life as well as my family. I see them atleast two or three times a week at work, and also on almost every sunday.
I have just recently started art-journaling, and have fallen in love with it...but I'm finding that I'm doing mostly charcoals and pastel drawings, with poems, lyrics, etc...and photography. Would love to swap ideas with anyone or even swapping an art journal and adding a page or two of another's journal.
I'm not much of a television watcher, if the TV is on...it's only for background noise, as I really don't have anything that I have to watch unless it's one of my all-time Favorite movies (i.e. The Philadelphia Story, Last of the Dogmen, An Affair to Remember, or any of the Pinky and Brain episodes from Animaniacs).
Any of the Diana Gabaldon books...especially the Outlander series.
I'm also pretty open to suggestions on some else's favorite book/author.
Vicki Pettersson is also a favorite of mine... and am super excited for the next book of her Zodiac series!
crocheting, pressed flower pictures, drawing with charcoal (whether it's with vine/compressed), collage, penpalling, photography, reading
Shinedown, Michael Buble, Harry Connick Jr., Daughtry, Thriving Ivory, Tracy Chapman, and Edwin McCain are just a few of my favorites...and, yes, my taste in music varies and is a wide range of artists...depending on my mood.
Pina Coladas, Umbrellas, hot humid weather, back seat drivers...
Anything girlie (including bright pink colors), oil paintings...There's not too many things that I don't care for, but I will warn you if I receive something I don't care for, I will re-gift it. However, it is very rare that I don't like something.
gnomes, thunderstorms, driving, spending time with the boyfriend doing whatever (whether its yardwork, going to the lake for the day, out dancing for an evening, or just staying home and cuddling), spending time with my family, and just being able to be me.
I really love stationary, notepads, charcoal pictures, pressed flowers, random buttons with silly sayings on them, keychains, photography (mainly black & white), postcards, crocheting, movies, antiques, pens, journals, windchimes, dragonflies, fireflies, campfires, and the simple things in life.
Favorites in General: Color - green/purple/blue, Animal - Raccoons, Thunderstorms (with lots of lightning and thunder), Cuddling with the boyfriend, Driving/Traveling, Candles and perfume w/ Musk smell...
I grew up between St. Joe, Indiana, and Auburn, Indiana (which technically I grew up in the middle of three fields and a woods). After high school I lived between Muncie, Indiana, and my parents house, but was mostly in Muncie... While at Ball State I did a stint abroad in Australia, and a couple months after graduation I moved up to Metro Detroit where I lived for 2 years and 3 1/2 months before moving back into my parents house...Now I'm currently in Fort Wayne, Indiana, living on my own and loving it very much!
I love to get different kinds of recipes to try and make for myself and my boyfriend (which I love that he'll try anything that I cook/bake atleast once).
I love Thai and other oriental foods, but only if there is no ginger anything in it. I also love Italian and Mexican foods...the authentic Italian and Mexican foods that is. I like most spicy foods, but if it's too spicy, my stomach can't handle it.
I am allergic to soaps and detergents, so please do not send any bath items unless we've previously discussed any sort of pampering items.
I also have to be careful with make-up items as most give me hives/rashes. Very rarely do I wear make-up and sometimes I have to take it off after an hour or two because it's too much of an irratant for my skin.
