I AM:

a quilter, sewing crafter, baker, wife, mother and grandmother.

MY LIFE IN QUILTING & SEWING:

I have made various sizes of quilts -- from large quilts to small mug rugs. I also enjoy making handbags and other fabric craft items. All of my sewing, fabric piecing and machine quilting is done on my domestic Bernina sewing machine.

Fabrics that I use are 100% cotton from quilt shops or fabic shops.

Fabric that I have on hand are from: Moda, Maywood Studio, P&B Textiles, Hoffman, RJR, Camelot Cottons, Eleanor Burns, Robert Kaufman, Amy Butler, and French General. I do like many others fabric lines, these are just what I have on hand at the present time. I also like using batik fabrics.

Colors in my stash are: blues, yellows, pinks, greens, purple, burgundies, reds, browns and teals. Neutral colors are also in my stash. I do sew with all colors, it just depends on the project..

Fabrics that I don't use are: licenced cartoon prints, sports, skulls or animal prints.

I use cotton 50wt thread from: Aurifil, Superior Threads, Gutermann, Mettler and Robinson-Anton. I very seldom use polyester threads. I do not use Coats and Clark thread line since it leaves way too much lint. I also do not embroider, so I do not need embroidery floss.

I like to give quilts as gifts, so I am always looking at patterns in stores and magazines to see what I would like to make down the road for someone. I like to make traditional and modern quilts.

MY FAVORITES:

++ Favorite Colors include yellow, blues, purple, pink, reds, teals and greens.

++ My favorite designs are of the sun, snowmen, snowflakes, houses, birds, cats, sunflowers, daisies, hollyhocks, and clouds.

++Favorite candy is: chocolate -- milk chocolate, dark chocolates, white chocolate, and chocolate covered raisins. I also like black jelly beans. I love truffles!

++Favorite hot drinks are: Earl Gray tea, Chai tea, green tea, Lapsang tea, hot chocolate,and coffee lattes. I also like blended coffee drinks and fruit smoothies.

++ Favorite TV Shows are Castle, Dancing with the Stars, Downton Abbey and Big Bang Theory.

++ Favorite TV networks: are Food Network and Hallmark.

++Favorite movies include: My life in Ruins, Fiddler on the Roof, While you were Sleeping, Under the Tuscan Sun, Valentines Day, Annie, Lost in Austen, The Help and Hello Dolly.

++Favorite novels include: The Book Thief, The Peach Keeper, The Help, Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet, The Guernsy Literary Guild and Potato Peel Pie Society, books by Diane Mott Davidson, books by Alexander McCall Smith and books by Janet Evonivich.
