My name is Jenny, I'm 32 and I live with my husband in a lovely Edwardian terraced house in London, United Kingdom. I'm a full-time curator so spend my days looking after amazing historical collections of textiles, badges and nursing equipment! I love making things, especially hand sewing but I have a trusty vintage sewing machine, and am trying to teach myself how to make doll clothes for my Blythe doll. I absolutely love all things Cath Kidston and Orla Kiely and am enjoying decorating and filling my house with vintage fabrics and anything I buy from vintage shops. I can't walk past a charity/thrift shop without popping in. I also have to stop my self buying handbags every season - there's no more room in my wardrobe.
Anything to do with sewing. I love making small softies and have recently made my first doll quilt. I enjoy attempting to read different craft magazines, especially Japanese ones. I hoard vintage fabrics and use them in my sewing projects. I also like making cards so love to receive stickers and vintage papers. I love spring and autumn rather than summer and winter and look for inspiration in every day things.
Roman Holiday, the Usual Suspects, the Lives of Others, anything with Audrey Hepburn in.
24, Heroes, Lost, Project Catwalk, CSI, Medium, Lipstick Jungle, America's Next Top Model, anything by Stephen Poliakoff and Heroes
Roman Holiday, the Usual Suspects, the Lives of Others, anything with Audrey Hepburn in. I'm a member of LoveFilm and trying to be more adventurous with the films I watch so feel free to recommend anything you like :)
hand sewing; craft/sewing magazines; patterned felt and vintage fabrics; sewing notions such as ric rac, buttons and threads; my Blythe doll - a Takara Blythe 'Save The Animals'; Orla Kiely handbags; Cath Kidston fabrics; collecting postcards; researching my family history and cookie cutters!
I don't drink coffee or flavoured teas except peppermint tea. However I think I'm easy to please and if you've put some thought into your swap I will be happy :)
