About Me

I am mom to 3 beautiful and creative children and wife to one wonderful husband! :-) I love to create and surround myself with beautiful things. I like antiques, art, decorating, quilting, sewing, camping in a travel trailer ;-), singing, cooking, music, genealogy and snowmobiling. :-)

Favorite Music

Favorite Books

Jane Austen books, all classic books, Christian fiction, WWII historical fiction & biographies. I really like historical fiction especially by authors Bodie & Brock Thoene. The only books that I have of theirs are the Zion series, Covenant Series & the Twilight of Courage. I do not have any other new works and would love book 1 of any of their new sets. I prefer hardback books if available and used books are fine also. I am reading Elm Creek Quilt Series right now, I have books 1,2 & 3. Quilting books & Millinery books, sewing project book,

Would love to have any Hallmark movies I don't own any of them, Would love to have any of the new Jane Austen movies that came out in Feb. 2008 put out by Master Theater (I have Northanger Abby). Really like movies put out by the BBC, Master Theater and A&E. I like chick flicks and any Dove Approved movies.

Favorite Crafts

I like to Quilt, sew anything, make pillows, crochet, make my own flowers, cards, and most anything crafty. Would love millenery flower patterns! Just getting into scrap booking so would love any tools, albums, paper etc...

These Are A Few Of My Favorite

Craft Supplies I would love: Fabrics I like are 100% cottons, 100% natural silks, natural velvets, linens. I love new or antique buttons of any kind, especially rhinestone buttons in all colors. Other things I really like are new or antique stamens, trims, flowers, beads, ribbons (grosgrain, silk, velvet, or any other), old photos, antique postcards, birds, anything Millinery.

Quilt Supplies I would like: Fabric Designers I like are Amy Butler, Heather Bailey, Anna Maria Horner & Michael Miller. Dear Jane Quilt Book and templates (used is fine). Pink rotary cutter, pack of 1" mylar grandmother garden hexagon templates with hole in center (Brandy's or other brand)and anything else a quilter could use. One thing that I am needing really, really bad and can't seem to find around here is a very sturdy wood quilting hoop with rounded edges in 16", 14" or a little smaller. My friend has one that was made in Germany and I just love it. I am sure that there are good ones made in other places also. I do not like the snap together plastic kinds but will try the new plastic round hoops with the bands. Can't seem to find those here either.

Colors I like: Brown, greens, orange, turquoise, pinks, purple, red, black & cream. Well I guess I like all the colors. LOL!

Bath & Body Items I like: I welcome nice quality soaps, lotions, body sprays & bath soaks. I especially like cucumber scents, but also like others. I absolutely love massages, pedicures and manicures! (clear nail polish) I like Oil of Olay, Sense (by USANA) Mary Kay or any other nice quality facial cleansers and toners.

Misc. Items I Like: Brooches, small antique figurines of animals or people and ones that say Japan on the bottom are great, pin cushions, doll house items in a 1:12 scale. antique or antique looking glass ornaments, vintage hats, Starbucks coffee cups and travel mugs, nice kitchen utensils/gadgets, tea towels

Food Treats I like: I like high quality dark roast coffee and drink it for a treat after meals, not to stay awake. No cheap grocery store type coffees, Starbucks in fine. My husband is a coffee connoisseur. If you have a roaster in your area, we would love to try their coffee. I also love loose teas and would love a new tea pot or tea cup and saucer. Really like dark chocolate, orange dark chocolate, dark chocolate with nuts, Hazelnut anything, toffee, Almond Roca, peanut butter cups or anything with peanuts or peanut butter. Like mixed nuts, love anything spicy, any snack mixes, like sweet and salty, love crackers with meats, cheeses and hot mustards. I am not picky, I like most anything except "LIVER".

Stores I Like: Bath & Body, Victoria Secrets, Pier 1, Barns & Noble, Target, Starbucks (love there cups), Martha Stewart (online), Pottery Barn

Would Love To Learn How To

Knit & make my own felt. Would love bamboo knitting needles and yarn.

NOTE

I am not picky and am fine with getting most anything except for what is on my dislikes. The above is just a guide. I like lots of things that are not listed.

Likes any books, big piece puzzles, stickers, coloring books, painting. Loves playing with her kitchen and is forever cooking meals for me and her doll. She has lots of wooden food, a toaster and a set of stainless steel cutlery and wood cooking pots but could really use dishes, cups, little cloth napkins, tea towels & a tea set. She loves playing with her 16" AG Bitty Baby doll. Any doll items would be wonderful (we don't mind clean used or homemade doll clothes). Hello! I sent your goodies for the Raise Your Rate swap out today. Again, I'm sorry I sent them a day late - my new job is really cutting into my fun time! Although once I realized where you lived I kicked myself for not sending it out MUCH sooner. But I hope you like everything. =)
