I'm in Seattle, Washington. I enjoy the work of making things by hand. I dabble in many types of crafts, but find sewing the most satisfying. I love the written word, and find postcards and letters a brilliant form of communication.
I work in a cubicle planning events for a development office. I decorate my little space with magnets and postcards and buttons and pins and things of delight and wonder.
I bicycle everywhere. All day. All the time. My flickr is full of pictures.
NOTE: I am currently planning my wedding in August 2009, so I won't be super active with swapbot.

I like things people take pride in, which doesn't mean it has to be hand-made. Sometimes, the perfect found item at a yard sale hits just the spot of inspiration!
Re-purposing items into something new and functional and fun and lovely pleases me a great deal.
Some brilliant authors:
Nick Bantock, Annie Dilliard, Edgar Allan Poe, William Goldman, Bill Bryson, Stanislaw Lem, Theodore Roethke, Alfred Lord Tennyson, Mark Twain, Audrey Niffenegger
Rilo Kiley, The Black Keys, Manu Chao, The Andrews Sisters, Mike Doughty, Yo La Tengo, Tegan and Sara, Twin Sister, Michael Nyman, Citizen Cope, Mates of State, The Affair, The Ettes, The Crying Shame, Auditory Sculpture, Dahlia, Wanda Jackson, Mamie Lavone the exotic mulatta & Her White Boy Band, Golden Robot Army, Johnny Cash, Amy Winehouse, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, ... lots and lots.
The Royal Tennenbaums, Lost in Translation, Garden State, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Amelie, Bound, Wayne's World, Abre Los Ojos, Shall We Dansu?, Being John Malkovich, ...
I tend to stick to actors and directors. Themes... Hayao Miyazaki, Ben Stiller, Wes Anderson, the Warchowski Brothers, Jackie Chan, and things with very good soundtracks.
*I am allergic to dairy, mushrooms, and nickel (so if you're making me earrings in a swap or something, silver please!).
*Colors: I can't pick a favorite. I spend hours looking at pantone colors book, home design books, and graphic design just to look at color combination's. Fabrics of unusual textures and colors really please me.
I really enjoy private swaps! Just send me a note and we'll set something up.

Goods 4 Girls was started to help young women gain access to better menstrual products. Our goal is to help these girls live their lives and go to school without fear that what they are using during their period will fail.
