Hey there. My family and I live just north of Atlanta, Ga. Although I am a southern girl, I am a full blooded Libertarian. I have been making cards for the past ~7years and have been sewing for 14 years. I love anything handmade- especially if it is green or has leaves on it:) I have 3 children and the youngest 2 are still in high school but doing well and should graduate in a few years...looking forward to having my house to myself again. I have 2 canine rescues; Maggie is 3 and Oscar is 19 months. They make me so happy just watching them romp and play.
I can't wait to swap with you all soon.
I tend to have a book with me at all times. My favorite book of all is "A Time to Kill," by Gresham. Currently, my favorite books are James Patterson, especially the Alex Cross ones. I have a good number of Jonathan Kellerman as well. I tend to read anything and everything that is around me: boxes, billboards, notices...
I watch a good number of movies, but my all time fav is Disney's version of "The Three Musketeers." I love the story, the costumes, the actors and most everything about the movie.
I really despise horror movies. I don't mind the gore and blood; I just don't like the storylines.
I love anything "beat em up and blow em up." My most recent favorite is Neeson in "taken." I think I have most of the Segall movies.
I enjoy the majority of the Disney "family" movies: i.e. "Eight below."
I don't watch television but when I did, I was always searching for CSI, SVU and CI- gotta' love Goran's character. Loved "Good Eats" and "Simply Quilts"
Despised: The Simpson's, Soap operas, and commercial interruptions.
I love making cards. I use a lot of neutrals and greens are my favorite. I do like most colors but prefer muted tones rather than bold and bright. Pink is NOT a fav of mine although it certainly has its place.
I love nature themes and leaves are my favorites. I love florals, as well, although I do tend to choose the less "girly" ones. Monochromatics are fabulous but I haven't mastered it as I would like.
Sewing: my first passion I probably have enough fabric to clothe a small thirld world country. I hate to cut into it so many of the pieces are still whole as when purchased. Quilthome.com ROCKS. I would love to learn to quilt but I don't have an abundance of patience and cannot seem to get with the exact measurements and slow speed of sewing to keep the edges exact. I guess I like instant gratification too much:)
I am getting pretty proficient at making ATC. I now can make them and be proud to send them to someone:) I just needed practice.
bottom line though: I can find beauty in most anything and can appreciate the work that goes into handmade items- even when they are not to my personal tastes.
Handmade cards and ATC, unique paper for them, and other handmade items.
Would love to receive handmade items that I cannot make for myself: I cannot knit or crochet and a scarf or potholders would be treasured...I will trade you cards for them:)
I have a good # of House Mouse stamps if anyone needs some images.

WOW! Thank so much for all of the fabric. I guess I need to quit playing on swap-bot and get busy sewing. ;o) and the bag is neat...I haven't seen one like that. Thanks again! Talyn
Hey there - I don't think I ever formally thanked you for the amy butler papers. My wife really enjoyed them. I have a few of the fabrics as well.
THANK YOU FOR BEING SO THOUGHFUL!
Maybe you should do crazy quilts. They dont have to be exact. I think thats probibly the only kind of quilting I could get away with, I am horrible when it comes to finishing sewing. I think thats why I stick to costumes and simple skirts a lot less finishing to worry about :)
