I am trying to update this a little at a time - browsing other people's profiles to get ideas. Thanks for your patience!

I never know what to write in here! Hope to meet some nice people and swap some great things. I will always send swaps I sign up for and on time. I will rate swaps as quickly as I can so please be patient!

I am from Maine, born and raised. I always thought I would leave here as soon as I could but I still remain here after 28 years and I love it. I don't have any children of my own yet but I have 3 nephews, 1 niece and 1 niece that will be here in August 2009. I love spending time with them and watching them grow and experience life - everything is so exciting to them. I attend a christian church here in my town and love it there. I work in the insurance industry and have for 6 years. My dream is to eventually become a RN and I will get there even if it takes me 20 years! I like to volunteer and help people, it brings a great sense of accomplishment and just makes me feel good about myself knowing I have done something to help others and my community and give a little something back. I participated in the United Way Day of Caring this year and also am beginning to volunteer at a place called Caring Unlimited which helps women/children who are involved in or were involved in a domestic violence relationship/family etc.

Other things I enjoy are spending time with family, exercising, travel, reading, shopping, movies, cooking, baking. Anything outdoors - camping, hiking, riding the motor cycle, state parks, beaches, dancing, music (live music in the summer is the best) love going to concerts and the fairs in the fall. I shop at Goodwill and thrift stores alot - you can really find alot of good things at these places, if people only realized! I get alot of my books there and some clothes/home items, and some are even still brand new.

My all time favorite color is pink. But I also like purple, blue and I like a warm country feel too - so browns & deep reds. Love gerber daises and tulips for flowers.

I love all music - always have it is a huge part of my life. I love live music and concerts, I have been to several and I like to save all of my ticket stubs. I usually buy a program at every concert I go to.
Britney Spears is my all time favorite pop star - alot of people may laugh at that but oh well. I have quite a collection of her in magazines, things from concerts and/or promos she has done. Pop/R&B, country and Classic Rock are other favorite types of music but I listen to EVERYTHING, just depends on my mood. Been on a country music kick lately.
Some artists I like are Britney Spears, Aerosmith, Runner Runner, Kid Rock, Saving Abel, Green Day, All American Rejects, Michael Jackson, Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney, Johnny Cash, Kelly Clarkson, T.I., Metallica, Rob Thomas, Rhianna, Def Leppard, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Segar, The Cars, Tupac, Alan Jackson, Brad Paisley, Dierks Bently, Carrie Underwood, Cars, Journey, Bob Segar, NKOTB. I also really enjoy local bands as well. I love experienceing new music and am always open to hearing new/different things. I have seen some mixed cd swaps and think I may try joining one to see what other people are listening to around the world!

Currently reading the Twilight series and have finished the first two books and LOVE them. I have now picked Harry Potter back up. Some books/authors I have read include Harry Potter, Stori Telling, Nicholas Sparks, Sarah Dessen, Mitch Albom, Jodi Piccoult, John Grisham, Stephanie Meyer, Rohld Dahl, Judy Blume.

I also absolutely LOVE magazines. Some favorites are Oprah, Maxim, Taste Of Home, Martha Stewart, Rolling Stone, Family Circle, People, Cosmo, US Weekly, and any recipe magazines.

I would like to learn to quilt someday, just don't really know where to start. Guess I should learn to sew first! I love photography - I do scrapbooking (I have to do something with the millions of photos I take!) and love photo albums also. Would like to learn about ATC's, just don't have enough time right now but I am thinking once winter hits this will be something I would like to learn.

I have collected them for some time - mostly just from places I have been. I would like to expand my collection to include some new random ones, which is why I originally joined swap-bot. I would like to have postcards from any of the following topics: really love to get cards from other parts of the world, so landmarks or something from the area you are from, map cards, animals (elephants, puffins, giraffes, dogs & horses are favorites), marine life (anything under this category!), photography, disney/pixar, astrology/stars, ships, airplanes (maybe military?), baseball, (red sox fan, tampa bay fan too!), beaches, flip flops,babies/children. I like to get cards both ways - written on and new in an envie - just depends on what I am swapping, so if I prefer in an envie I will post! I am going to experiment with making my own cards since I love to take photos. Just trying to figure it out before I send any! I don't really like ad cards or cards in bad shape (old, yellowed, folded/torn). I also don't like comic book pcs.

I don't actually watch much tv at all because I don't have the time. But these are shows I like. Grey's Anatomy, THe OC (when it was still on)House, CSI, King of Queens, The Girls Next Door, Two & A Half Men, Millionaire Matchmaker, Family Guy, Cash Cab, Full House (re-runs of course), the History channel, Ghost Hunters, Discovery Channel, Lifetime, How It's Made, the Travel channel, Dirty Jobs, and of course baseball - Red Sox Nation baby :)

I enjoy comedy and drama the most. I also like action movies. Not really a big horror movie fan, it gives me nightmares. I especially don't like what I call "reality horror" movies - like Final Destination.

Some actors/actresses I like to watch are Julia Roberts, Reese Witherspoon, Drew Barrymore, Adam Sandler, Will Smith, Kevin James, Jennifer Aniston, Jack Nicholson, Morgan Freeman, Julia Stiles, Katherine Hiegel.

Some favorite movies are Sweet Home Alabama, 50 First Dates, Boondock Saints, Fever Pitch, Twilight, Save the Last Dance,Devil Wears Prada, Pretty Woman, Dirty Dancing, Pretty in Pink, The Breakfast Club, Napoleon Dynamite, Benchwarmers, Pineapple Express, Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist, Center Stage, How Stella Got her Groove Back.

I would like to receive any of the following and would be happy to do one-on-one swaps if anyone is interested. (I am working on making a list of what I have to trade).
