7/9/15 - I've moved again! I am still in the process of getting boxes emptied but I'm hoping to get back to swapping again soon!
7/21/13 - I had to mark my first swap as sent a day late last night. Why was it late? It wasn't. I mailed it out on time Friday afternoon. Walked home. Only to have a major storm hit the second I stepped through the door. Out went the power. With no way to mark it sent I had to wait 28hrs before power came back on, then I had to wait another several hrs for our service provider for phone, internet and satellite tv to come back on too before I could actually mark the swap as sent. I just thought I'd give everyone a heads up just in case anyone noticed that that swap was marked sent a day after it was due, it WAS sent on time, just not marked as such. Thanks. To read about the storm and power outage:
4/29/13 - I have been on a swapping break for about 1.5yrs. I have since moved from Alberta to Quebec and with DD at school all day and DH being deployed (military) from time to time I'm feeling the need to swap again. Due to me not being able to find work in the province of Quebec I don't have a ton of money for swapping so I will be keeping it mostly small and affordable, a lot of handmade crafty items and regional swaps... mail art, postcards, (might try some ATCs), notecards, letter swaps etc. If you are interested in doing a private swap let me know - but I'm mostly sticking to within Canada with a few North American and the odd International swap.
Laurell K Hamilton
And many, many more! (I love to read). Since getting a Kobo ereader almost a yr ago I'm reading a lot of different authors... fantasy, light horror, thrillers, mysteries, classics, steampunk, paranormal etc...
These are all things that I would love to receive in a swap. But please don't feel obligated to stay within the list :D
Planner stuffs! I am using a travellers notebook with a monthly calendar and a weekly calendar. I love washi tape and cute stickers for decorating (especially if they are matching themes!). I also love using special planner stickers for things like coffee dates, scrapbooking crop dates, work days, pizza days, no school, holidays, hair colouring, library day, pyjama day, me day, shopping day... etc.
Mail art: I love zentangled, painted, doodled, handmade, stamped... Pocket Letters, Penpal Flip Books...
Anything that you can make (or have on hand) that's similar to things on my Etsy wishlist :D
Key chains, charms (non-touristy ones preferably)
Red Riding Hood themed
Alice In Wonderland themed
Nightmare Before Christmas themed for hubby
Anything Mary Engelbreight
Zines: I love zines and would LOVE any in the following topic categories:
Cookbooks, Home & Garden, Arts & Crafts, DIY & How-to, Travel, Hobbies, Humour, Entertainment, Fiction (esp. fantasy, fairy tales).
bookmarks, new or handmade (especially magnetic ones!)
postcards, blank notecards (not handmade as I make my own and would rather use my own handmade ones. But some store bought ones are nice to have on hand too)
Colours: purple, turquoise, teal, blue (I like all colours, these are just my faves!)
your favourite recipes!
hot chocolate (esp. the OPTIONS brand! Someone here got me hooked on this UK brand but I can't get any here!)
Steampunk style (my new obsession!)
tea (I love herbal, fruity, fruit or vanilla flavored black and green teas) bagged or loose (if loose please include info about the tea, type, flavour, company it's from etc)
reusable tote bags (love these! I love having no 2 the same when I take my bag of them in to the grocery store!)
notebooks, notepads, journals etc (I'm a little obsessed, I love lined and unlined)
fun coloured pens (can never have too many!)
anything fantasy: fairies, dragons, witches, vampires etc
new to me sweets/treats (Loooove Lindt chocolates from Germany!!!)
snowflake themed items, or art supplies
These are things that I can readily trade. I am definitely not limited to only these things. I like researching my swap partners to find things that I really think they will love. I aim to please!!

*Pineapple. I love it but unfortunately I've developed an allergy to it over the last couple yrs. Nothing deathly serious, it just makes me extremely sick. So try not to send my things Pineapple flavoured. Recently found out Kiwi and banana bother my body too :( Thanks!
*I am allergic to flower and fake scents.
*If you are sending something that may be new to me, I'd love a little description of it and why you sent it... makes trying it more fun. Maybe in a little note or something. Thanks!
*That's all I can think of, I'm not all that picky! :D
I'm a crafting junkie. I love trying new things, here's a list of the ones I've tried:
-Pocket Letters, penpal folders and flipbooks
-Collage Couture (mostly digitally, but some paper and hybrid style too)
-Digital scrapbooking (have been doing for 8+ yrs and am still doing it)
-Card making (started a couple years ago, mine are usually hybrid - combination of digi and hands-on)
-Crocheting (I started again a couple years ago, have done some slippers, fingerless gloves, scarves, mug cozies...)
-Knitting (didn't last long :( )
-Stenciling (don't have a steady enough hand for this)
-Sewing (can do a basic straight stitch but that's all I have the patience for - sewing machines seem to hate me... lol)
-Beading (did some as a child, nothing since)
-??? (what will I try next? who knows!)
Don't really watch much TV. I'd rather play around with my digital scrapbooking stuff on my laptop or read a good book!
We did recently sign up for Netflix and I've been going through shows that I love and that are recommended to me, including...
-Bones -Drop Dead Diva -Robin Hood -Numb3rs -The Glades -Life -House -NCIS (all of them) -CSI (all of them) -Law and Order (all of them) -Firefly -Covert Affairs -Grey's Anatomy -Scorpion -Black List -Haven -Big Bang Theory...
My daughter loves getting mail as much as I do :)
Message me if you have a child interested in doing a swap with her :D
Her name is Ally and she's 12yrs old (born in 2005). She's loves the colours pink and purple. Loves doing arts and crafts and trying new things :D She also loves reading.
Some of her favourite things:

-Movies: MLP Equestria Girls, Despicable Me (love those Minions!),Tinkerbell movies, Buddies (Space Buddies, Snow Buddies, Santa Buddies etc), Beverly Hills Chihuahua, Pitch Perfect and many more! (she loves movies)
-Games: Just Dance series, monopoly, Life, Quidler, Uno...
-My Little Pony
-Ever After High
-Resealable bags (like Ziploc) with prints on them
-Collectable Pin/Buttons, stickers, cell phone charms (I decorate her backpack with them), postcards with animals on them (the cuter the better!), cute bandaids, cute notebooks/pads, fun socks (sm adult size), bookmarks, fun flavoured gum, postcards...
She's not very picky, she loves trying new things (hates taking simple sandwiches for school lunches... lol), she's very girly - except for her love of football (fave team is Calgary Stampeders!), and monster trucks... lol.
