Hello! My name's Rachel and I'm a music-obsessed journalist living in the lovely UK! My life centers around music, which sees me attending a lot of gigs and festivals, writing reviews, running a website, producing and presenting on radio, interviewing bands and making videos when I can.
I also love random activities like visiting zoos and wildlife parks, sight-seeing, going to the theatre, baking, writing fiction, and doing crafts (of course!). :D
Moustaches - I just find them endlessly witty and charming.
Gloomy Bears - I have a 6" bright pink one called Kaito and like collecting things with him on (they are quite hard to get in the UK so I treasure anything I do manage to get hold of!).
Rockabilly, pin-up and nautical fashion: I'm always looking for themed items! Swallow birds, anchors, cherries, tattoos, polka dots, gingham, leopard print, pasties, skulls, etc.
Music and band memorabilia, especially random t-shirts (size Youth Large / Mens Small) and gig flyers with nice graphics or art on.
Classic and contemporary burlesque and fetish modelling, particularly Dita Von Teese, she's a doll (see picture below!).
1920's fashion and Art Deco - such decadence! I think Louise Brooks is stunning.
Blythe, Pullip and Lati dolls (images of them, unfortunately I don't own one yet!)
Tattoos and piercings (I have 8mm / 0 gauge plugs) - flash images and early Western tattoos are especially interesting!
Kawaii style stickers and stationary; it can be quite difficult and expensive to get those things where I live!
Jeffree Star, obviously... ^-^
Random images / themes I LOVE: gingerbreadmen, dinosaurs, cute robots, cupcakes, sloths (they are my favourite animal!).
Sanrio characters (I have SO much Hello Kitty stuff already, any more would probably be repeats!)
Rainbows! And bright or neon colours.
I loveloveLOVE my music and adore eclectic underground math-indie, math-metal and mathcore, some hardcore, and a bit of indie-pop, particularly: Meet Me In St Louis, Engerica, thisGIRL, Nine Inch Nails, The Ghost of a Thousand, Queens of the Stone Age, Push To Fire, Kaikoura, glassJAw, Deftones, Textures, Tubelord, Hexes, The Hives, Does It Offend You, Yeah?, Morrissey, We Are Scientists, Pistolas, Patrick Wolf, Baddies, Rage Against The Machine, Eagles of Death Metal, The Subways, Panic! At The Disco, The Academy Is..., Mindless Self Indulgence, The Almost, Cold War Kids, The Smiths, The Cure, Joy Division, Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster, Mark Ronson, Envy On The Coast, Lethal Bizzle, Reuben, Pete & The Pirates, anything on the following record labels: Big Scary Monsters, Lockjaw, Holy Roar, Function, Moshi Moshi, and much more!
I love my band boys, especially Josh Homme, Trent Reznor, Gabe Saporta, Daryl Palumbo, Patrick Wolf, and Morrissey.
FOR THE MAGAZINE SWAP! -
Any clippings or zines with Daryl Palumbo in would be HUGELY appreciated as I adore the man and his music! ^-^
I think High School Musical 1 and 2 are fantastic and I can't wait for the third installment! I collect anything with the cast on - t-shirts, stickers, books, socks, lipgloss, etc! I also enjoy Fight Club, American Psycho, Cabaret, Amelie, Chicago, Hellraiser, The Machinist, and anything by Ealing Studios.
