I'm eighteen years old. I've been on swap-bot for a while: think two years, I believe, but had to quit a few months after joining, since money was growing tighter and tighter.
I'm back, but not without a few bad ratings. The first was because my package was returned (apparently it was refused at the address), and when I tried to re-send it, it got sent back again. The second was entirely my own fault: I couldn't send to my partner at the time, since money troubles prevented me from sending internationally.
I assure you that I am here to stay this time, and will be sending out my end of every swap I sign up for.
I've found some as-yet-still-totally-indie emo bands, sort of, so I've been listening to them as an alternative to the alternative music they play on the radio. How many times can one hear the Foo Fighters before they want to claw out their ears? (And believe me, I would find a way.) I like soundtracks and musicals--Aida, Rent, Jekyll and Hyde, Moulin Rouge, the Pagemaster, etc. There are a few country songs and a few rap songs I can stand--I'm not really the kind of person who says they hate an entire genre without having listened to all of said genre, but if I'm going on a long road trip and can only bring one CD with me, it's not going to be Garth Brooks or Nelly.
I love Rent, (I know, I know: the movie is inferior to the original, but I've never seen it and therefore must make do with what I can get.), and Donnie Darko is fun to watch and theorize about.
I love Doctor Who. House, and Monk are great too. (I'm among the dozen or so people that like Natalie better than Sharona). I don't watch a lot of TV, though, because...well, mostly because reality shows are taking over and making me want to kill myself.
Beading, wood/wireworking, zines, ATCs, I want to do stenciling, but first I need to get fabric paint, I love to use my sewing machine, but it's currently on strike, shrinemaking, the occasional art-doll, altering almost anything, making envelopes and paper cranes and lots of stuff out of paper, I'm trying to crochet a bag, but I seem to have gone on hiatus, and much much more. If I have the supplies to do something, I'm going to try to do it.

Hi! Just got home from work & I'm reading your letter as I write. Wow! Somehow that seems so inadequate, but WOW! I love your writing! (Heard that before, right?!). I will write back soon. I love it! Take care, jbtmykids (Jane)
