I'm taking a break from swapping, altho I'll check in regularly. I simply suck right now.
I live in a dinky place, don't drive, am a recluse in real life but can be charming online, have been known to be crotchety. ;O) Will be officially 'vintage' this year. Love handmade, thrifted, vintage, retro, flea market, creepy, snowflakey, rockabilly, Halloweeny, sparkly &/or fierce. I have 2 sets of almost grown twins, over the legal limit of cats, one defenseless husband, obsessed with Johnny Weir, and am one moody freak.
Seriously, if you have any old magazines with articles about Johnny, clippings, or make me somethin' pretty with his image, I will be your BFF.

I have big ol' wrists and wear 8" bracelets and loooong necklaces. Not into earrings.
I DO NOT CARE FOR TOURIST POSTCARDS unless the swap calls for them or they are specifically to my taste or fave theme, or vintage.
I apologize beforehand if I tend to repeat myself throughout this profile, I just want to be sure you're paying attention, and if you're not it won't matter as I have reiterated so many times. :O)
My least favorite thing to receive is any ART with butterflies, flowers, or Disney as a focal point, thank you! No offense meant, it's just that I've collected for years and it seems every other thing I receive has butterflies and flowers and none of them are unique or original any more! Vintage bits and baubles with these things are fine though.
On the other hand, my FAVE themes are DEAN WINCHESTER or Supernatural, JOHNNY WEIR, ICE SKATING, steampunk, Day of the Dead, sugar skulls, John Lennon, Robert Downey Jr., Danny Kaye, Doris Day, Tony Curtis, White Christmas (the movie AND anything sparkly and wintry), 40's - 50's retro, snowflakes, vintage Halloween or Xmas, and glitter and rhinestones never hurt anybody.
I'm on the creepy, dark, weird, spooky, Vintage, Retro, Kitschy, Halloweeny, Day of the Dead, Victorian Gothic, funereal side of things, with the EXCEPTION of zombies. I know, they're cool, they're just not my cup o' creepy.
I also love sparkly, glittery, retro, humorous, vintage, Christmas (for me it's the tradition, memories, family, lights and colors of the holiday I love, no religious overtone, but I still love steepled glittery churches), pinups, vintage greeting card, Somerset style, shabby, rusty, well loved, and uniquely original handmade stuff. You know all that crap you probably watched your mom haul to the curb after cleaning out grandma's attic and taking the silver and valuables? I love that stuff.
I'd always prefer something thrifted or vintage than something new, go figure.
I love to receive 'stuff', especially buttons, embellishments, ephemera, etc.; in the colors TURQUOISE & AQUA, robin's egg blue, shades of pink, peppermint striped, minty or lime green, teal and cream, red and pink together, I adore shabby and distressed.
If you remember nothing else, remember I love VINTAGE, HALLOWEEN, CHRISTMAS, ICE SKATING, SNOWFLAKES, BUTTONS, GLITTERED anything, BUSTED BLINGY RUSTY JEWELRY BITS, and sparkly papers, postcards, vintage & retro playing cards and greeting cards (just one is fine!)
CHOCOLATE!!! I don't care for hard candy.
POSTCARDS!
First, if I'm ever your partner and I accidentally send you something I've sent you before, let me know and I'll send something different! :O)
I've collected them my entire life and I believe the randomness of posties is part of their charm, but I've also developed a fondness for some more than others. Duh, don't we all!
I LOOOOVVES me some vintage postcards. Any theme is better in vintage. If you're my partner in a swap you can ALWAYS send me a vintage card, even if the swap says NO. I also dig vintage PCs that have been Used (written on by someone long ago).
I don't like touristy cards, not into maps and multi-views, but a beautiful picture is always nice. Prefer them to be funny or unique, altho a touristy card involving any of my fave themes is always awesome (like snow scenes or autumn leaves or vintage).
Please fellow CO swappers, if you have anything other than CO cards I'd be grateful.
I'm also not crazy about homemade cards, unless they're incredible.
I love retro cards, odd/quirky, funny ad cards, creepy stuff, graves, skulls, skeletons, ICE SKATING, old (or new) celebrities, media or pop culture (meaning music, movies, tv, advertising, etc.), Eiffel Tower, cats (especially black or humorous cats), vintage Hawaiian and vintage or retro beaches/beach scenes/beach babes, and giant or humorous fish cards, cards with just a touch of red, ladies in red, winter/snow/ski scenes and autumn leaves (I don't mind touristy if there are autumn leaves or snow!), swimming pools and 60's kitsch. If you make me a Johnny Weir card (American figure skater, Olympian), I guarantee a heart! shrugs I love me some Anne Taintor and Emily the Strange too. I actually love about 99% of the cards I receive so don't panic. Apparently I have a long wish list. :O)
POMEGRANATE _not such a big deal.. I think I have every Pomegranate package deal postcard that there is, and doubles of some. I'll send those along to someone else if I get them, but if I have my 'druthers I'd rather not get too many!
I DO consider Etsy, ebay, cafe press, Zazzle and the like storebought quality.
The Samples!! All time favorite, best band you've never heard of.
Beatles (I have IMAGINE tattooed on my forearm and my daughter's middle name is Julia after John Lennon's mom)
GLEEK
Incredibly addicted to listening to Johnny Weir's "Dirty Love" (I have a Weir-d love.)
King, Koontz, Terry Pratchett rules my heart, Dave Barry, Garrison Keillor, Christopher Moore rocks. I don't read as voraciously as I used to due to malfunctioning stoopid eyeballs. :O( I could use some powerful reading glasses.
I am a lover of the PRINTED WORD. REAL BOOKS RULE!
Movies: I like 'em. All of them as long as they DON'T include Chuck Norris, Sly Stallone, or Steven Seagal.
I love horror (not gore), comedy (not college soft porn) and old black & white films TCM!.. Danny Kaye, Robert Downey Jr., Doris Day, and Tony Curtis are my all time favorites, and Lucille Ball! Love Bing, Robert Montgomery, Van Johnson. I don't do movies with animals in them, they will inevitably make me cry.
SUPERNATURAL!! GLEE!! BE GOOD JOHNNY WEIR!! Ru Paul, Antiques Roadshow, Being Human (BBC version), Top Chef, I Love Lucy, Dexter, Torchwood, Runway, Supernatural reruns, Survivor, American Pickers, the Food Network, reality crap cuz it's the LEAST real thing on tv, NO daytime tv.

Old stuff: Frasier, Six Feet Under, Outer Limits, Tales From the Crypt, Dick Van Dyke, Bob Newhart, Carol Burnett, Andy Griffith, Tales From the Dark Side...very excited to find the Doris Day Show on netflix from the seventies!! :OD
My favorite artists are Renoir and Maxfield Parrish.
Vintage!!! Altered anything, mixed media collage, chunky books, assemblage, matchbox shrines and fills, shadowboxes, Button THINGS, bottlecaps, itty bittie books, art dolls, tag books, stuffed/vintage/primitive fabric/collaged hearts, mixed media /altered jewelry, anything made with buttons, Eclectic complicated thought provoking unique original NON-cookie cutter or greeting card cricut/cuttlebug type Art...
I also love to receive... unique or spooky dolls (any medium, cute or scary or both for preference), stuffies, handmade notecards, swapcards, address lables, beaded charms & jewelry makings for halloweeny/DOD/Victorian mourning bracelets, amigurumi.
I don't like abstracts and 'modern art'...not too fond of digitals unless they're extraordinarily unique or humorous or kitchy...
Nothing modern religious, bless your heart, but I do love retro, vintage, kitschy religious stuff, Mary, medals, rosaries, prayer cards; I collect things with Mary. Catholicism is so pagan. :O)
My space is soooo teeeeeny. But I DO love my CRAP!!

I like edgy, humorous, cuter than heck, dark and creepy, innovative, opinionated, unsafe arty stuff. I like the UNordinary. I love beautiful, cluttered, clever, colorful, vintage, gothic, Halloween, Xmas, retro, over the top, unusual, funny, awesome stuff.
I love stuff from grandma's era, the 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, I am not a believer in 80's being vintage yet.
Pinup girls & Hula girls - the classic retro ones,
I draw the line at visual vulgarity, gore, religion, animal hating and cruelty, preaching (religious or political) abstract art and meanness, and I'm kind of impatient with dumbassery.
Never ever have I been late or flaked on a swap. If it hasn't been mailed, I don't mark 'sent', so let me know if the zombie postman eats it and I'll fix it.
Ephemera - always welcome! Please no modern magazine clippings unless from foreign countries though, it's wasted on me.
I have a love of charm bracelets and adore any handmade charms and MILAGROS

I have a houseful of cats who love the little catnip mousies.
...things I don't like much: FOAM CRAFTS are BAD, preachy scripture/religious stuff & angels (other than kitschy catholic stuff covered above), zombies (except on PCs), bath stuff, pepperminty smells, people who don't at least leave a HOWDY in their swap package, recipes and recipe cards, eyelets (I don't use 'em), bookmarks, alcohol-referenced stuff, butterfly stuff, Asian themed stuff, Barbie stuff, Disney stuff, sports or team stuff, cuttlebug/cricut craft punches, cutesy but oh-so boring Stampin' Up stuff, abstract modern type 'art' postcards, modern magazine clippings (vintage {pre-80's} ROCKS tho)
I also am suspicious of swappers who say "I don't ever read profiles because it stifles creativity" - it also stifles the level of enjoyment your swap partner experiences! Remember my aversion to dumbassery!
I LOVE swappers with Flickr pages, swap hosts who check their spelling, and all the supercool peeps who live outside the box, and cake.
I won't let anything go to waste, I'm a recycler, re-user of packaging and regifter.

I just had to stop by and gush over how much I loved the ATC you made me for the ATC advent swap. I believe the noise I made when I opened it was something like 'uwaaaaaaaaahhhhheeeeeeeeee' or similar. I then ran around showing it to everyone in the house. For the record, everyone else had a similar reaction. So yeah, I love it more than I can say! Thanks so much for making it for me!
I saw your post on the @hartline22 thread, then came to read your profile...and I love it. Absolutely a blast. :)
Just read your profile. It really made me laugh!! I may just be borrowing th word "Dumbassery" for the unforseeable future! What a great word it gives a wonderful mental picture!
Peace ~~ Thanks for the birthday card! It was perfect for me as I love cowboys and the message is so true for me!!! Thanks again for your thoughtfulness : )
